2013 'World's Loudest Month' Festival Dates Announced

Created in partnership by AEG Live and Right Arm Entertainment, the World’s Loudest Month features the biggest names in rock music performing in five distinct U.S. concert atmospheres. In 2012, the World’s Loudest Month featured over 100 artists playing for more than 200,000 rock music fans across the country on five consecutive weekends, confirming that rock music is as vital as ever.

The 2013 World’s Loudest Month festival dates are as follows:

Welcome To Rockville: April 27 in Jacksonville , FL

Carolina Rebellion: May 4 & 5 in Charlotte, NC

Rockfest: May 11 in Kansas City, MO

Rock On The Range: May 17, 18 & 19 in Columbus, OH

Rocklahoma: May 24, 25 & 26 in Pryor, OK

“The rock festival business is as robust as ever, thanks to the loyal fans around the country and the many young and classic artists that continue to see the WLM festivals as a unique opportunity to showcase to the masses,” says Joe Litvag, Co-Executive Producer of World’s Loudest Month.  “2013 will raise the bar, yet again, we’re certain!”

Welcome To Rockville kicks off the World’s Loudest Month, returning to Jacksonville’s Metropolitan Park along the beautiful St. Johns River for the third year in a row. 2013 will see an increase in capacity to meet the demands of the first two years.

Next up is Carolina Rebellion at Rock City Campgrounds at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, just outside of Charlotte. After much success in 2012, the festival has been expanded to two days and will feature a larger camping space and enhanced concert experience at a new location. “The ‘Rebels’ have spoken and we have listened,” says Gary Spivack/Co-Executive Producer for Right Arm Entertainment.  “Rock ‘n Roll is alive in the Carolinas and we are so excited to announce the expansion of the third annual Rebellion to a full weekend.  Also, with a long term move to the Charlotte Motor Speedway, the festival has now found a home that allows us to give you more bands, more rock music, and more entertainment, all while keeping the ticket prices and VIP packages as competitive as possible. It’s our mission to make Carolina Rebellion the biggest and best rock festival in the entire Mid-Atlantic region!”

Rockfest--the biggest one-day rock music festival in the United States--celebrates its 21st year in 2013. In 2012, the legendary event sold out for the eighth consecutive year, with 55,000 in attendance at Penn Valley Park in downtown Kansas City.

Rock On The Range--the nation’s most-acclaimed active rock festival--will add top national rock bands to its Friday night lineup in 2013. In addition, the ROTR stage and site layout at Columbus Crew Stadium will be adjusted to allow for a better concert experience, and new onsite components that will take ROTR to the next level will be announced in the coming months. The nationally renowned festival, centrally located in the heart of the country, has annually drawn weekend crowds in excess of 70,000 since its inception in 2007. Pre-sale Layaway tickets are on sale now, and VIP, hotel, and camping packages go on sale Friday, November 30.

Rocklahoma--America’s biggest Memorial Day Weekend party--will celebrate its seventh year in 2013. The three-day camp & rock festival features the top current active rock artists and classic bands at “Catch the Fever” Festival Grounds in Pryor, OK. In 2012, a national television audience was able to experience many Rocklahoma band performances in HD when AXS TV aired live coverage of the festival. Ticket renewals for 2013 will be available starting Monday, December 3.  To renew your 2012 ticket location, call the box office at (866) 310-2288.

Look for the official World’s Loudest Month app to be released in early 2013, featuring all festival information, the latest rock news, exclusive songs from current and previous WLM bands, and more. Band lineups and additional details for each festival will be announced in early 2013.

Success And Accolades Follow 'World's Loudest Month' Festivals

Don’t believe the hype that rock n’ roll is dead…  The World’s Loudest Month has officially come to a conclusion for 2012 having hosted over 100 artists and played for more than 200,000 rock music fans across the country on five consecutive weekends.  Created in partnership by AEG Live and Right Arm Entertainment, the World’s Loudest Month featured the biggest names in rock music performing throughout five distinct concert atmospheres in what can only be described as the official confirmation the often-maligned genre is thriving.

“The World’s Loudest Month is a testament not only to the artists that are grouped into this format but to the fans that have always shown their loyalty by spending their hard-earned money to come out and support what we do,” said Joe Litvag, co-executive producer of four of the five WLM festivals.  “Every time I hear someone say that rock is going away or read articles that talk about the demise of rock, I smile. Rock music is alive and well and growing, and the success of the World’s Loudest Month proves just that.”

Kicking the month off was the return of Welcome to Rockville in Jacksonville , FL on Sunday, April 29.  Taking place at Metropolitan Park, this one-day concert drew a sell-out crowd and saw performances from 24 local and national rock artists including:  Shinedown, Korn, Evanescence, Five Finger Death Punch & many more.

Just up the road in Rockingham, NC, the 2nd Annual Carolina Rebellion got started with a campground party on Friday, May 4, and on Saturday, May 5 over 30,000 fans converged on Rockingham Speedway and were treated to performances by Five Finger Death Punch, Staind, P.O.D., Evanescence as well as an epic moment during Korn’s set with former guitarist Head joining the band on-stage for the first time in seven years.

The third weekend in the World’s Loudest Month delivered the biggest one-day rock music festival in the United States with RockFest in Kansas City on May 12.  Celebrating its 20th year and cementing itself in concert history, the legendary event sold-out for the 8th consecutive year with 55,000 in attendance.  Fifteen bands rocked for over 12 hours, including Adelitas Way, Theory of a Deadman, Slash, Volbeat, Cavo & more.  As an added bonus, headliners Shinedown filmed the live performance video for their upcoming single “Unity” in front of the massive ‘sea of people’ that only RockFest can bring.

May 18-20 featured the nation’s most-acclaimed active rock festival, Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH at Crew Stadium.  Kicking off ROTR’s 6th year, the party started on Friday night with the “Friday Night 4Play” featuring Foxy Shazam and Black Tide. Saturday saw sets by Incubus, Shinedown, Chevelle, P.O.D., Five Finger Death Punch and Cypress Hill.  Sunday’s highlights included sets by acts like The Darkness, Volbeat, Anthrax, Megadeth, and for the first time ever, Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson on the same stage.  Once again the fans and bands showed that Rock on the Range truly is “Where Rock Lives.”

The World’s Loudest Month concluded in Pryor, OK on Memorial Day Weekend with Rocklahoma, a three-day camping festival unlike any other. Over 30,000 fans celebrated the Holiday by enjoying bands on four different stages, and memorable performances included sets by Creed, Rob Zombie, Chickenfoot, Megadeth, Jackyl, Theory of a Deadman, Cavo, Slash, Volbeat, Puddle of Mudd and Hellyeah.  And, for the first time ever, over 30 million fans throughout the United States could check out eight full hours of live concert coverage from Rocklahoma on Mark Cuban’s ‘HDNet’ helping to spread the word of Rocklahoma:  “Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Rock.”

Gary Spivack of Right Arm Entertainment adds, "We’re finally able to come up for air after an amazing month.  The World’s Loudest Month proves to the planet that rock n’ roll is alive and kicking doors down.  Right Arm is already looking forward to making WLM in 2013 even bigger and better.  To echo what our partner Joe Litvag said---any demise of rock music by critics and naysayers has been greatly misguided."
