Rock My Monkey Tv: Escape The Fate At Uproar 2011

Say what you want about Escape The Fate not being "Metal" enough for this show, or whatever lame insult you can think of, but the truth is that these guys are one amazing act to see live. Escape The Fate write great songs with solid hooks. Added bonus for you guys? Escape The Fate shows are full of women! Tired of going to shows where you end up grinding on half bald sweaty dudes in a pit? Escape The Fate bring the women. You still like women, right? So amazing show, great songs, and lots of women in the crowd. Sounds like a great time to me. So catch them next time they come to your town. In fact I challenge you all to stay and watch their entire set and not get hooked. I dare ya!

Rock My Monkey Tv: Black Tide At Uproar 2011

I have to give credit to Black Tide, they run a very sharp crew that is able to be about as flexible as it gets in the world of Rock. I also have to say that Steven Spence comes off as one of the smartest musicians I talked to that day. This kid is sharp! He is also one of the most visual drummers of recent times. But can someone buy the poor kid a shirt?

Rock My Monkey TV: Fozzy at Uproar 2011

Today's episode is an exclusive interview with Fozzy's Rich Ward (and the back of Chris Jericho's head). A couple of highlights: On Sevendust (at 3:48): "The planets aligned when some members of Sevendust had a criminal record that wouldn't allow them into Canada." On Chris and wrestling (at 4:38): "Chris is not wrestling full time. Now he is a full time rock and roll superstar."

Rock My Monkey TV: Hell Or Highwater at Uproar 2011

When big touring festivals like Uproar come, we at RockMyMonkey.com like to tell the people behind the event to just sign us up to interview every band that will talk to us. Most of the time you get really cool guys who play in a band that may not be as great as you would hope. This time we got really cool guys that were down right amazing on stage. Seriously, if this band comes to your town you need to check them out. And please do not judge them by the band's they have been in before. I wasn't a fan of Atreyu either, but I love these guys. It is very old school Hard Rock that is dirty, ugly, and mean. This band has nothing to do with the band's these guys have come from. So after the interview go to their website, check out some songs, and go see them on tour. This was my second favorite band of the entire Uproar festival.
