Legion Issue Studio Update

Columbus metal titans LEGION have issued a studio update surrounding their yet-to-be-titled new release. The band has been hard at work with prodcuer Daniel Laskiewicz of THE ACACIA STRAIN and have vowed to release their most ferocious material to date. Click HERE to watch the update!

The band recently signed a worldwide deal with eOne / Good Fight music and will release a brand new record this spring. After recently finishing up a successful run on the END OF THE WORLD TOUR supporting JOB FOR A COWBOY this past December, the band will support label-mates THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE and friends YOUR MEMORIAL starting in March.

Gaining exposure through their own DIY touring and performances at the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, the band has come a long way in a short amount of time. The video for “Perverse Icon” has offered YouTube users a glimpse at just what Legion is capable of achieving on stage. Tracks like “Disclosure of Sin” and “Righteous Dictation” are emblematic of Legion’s skillful precision when it comes to balancing aggressive metallic destruction with trippy groove.

The Acacia Strain Announce Co-Headline Tour W/ Veil Of Maya

MA’s The Acacia Strain has announced a co-headline fall tour with Chicago, IL’s Veil of Maya running 11/24-12/16. Offering support on the tour is Upon A Burning Body, Volumes and Twitching Tongues. The trek, presented by All In Merchandise will be preceded by a short record release tour that runs from 10/4- 10/14 with Cruel Hand, I Declare War, Fit For An Autopsy and No Bragging Rights opening.

Frontman Vincent Bennett says, “We are very excited to head out on this tour. We try and keep every tour we do as diverse as possible, this is not an exception. Make sure you come out early and check out Twitching Tongues. They will definitely be turning some heads! “

VIP tickets will be available starting at 3pm est this Thursday, September 20 at http://soundrink.com. The general on sale date is this Friday, September 21 at 3pm est.

The Acacia Strain’s Rise Records debut LP, Death is the Only Mortal will be out on October 9. On the subject of the album’s title, Bennett recently explained to Hails & Horns Magazine, “The record is about humanity’s personalization and obsession with death. Life never really ends because it cycles over and over. It is infinite and immortal. Energy is transferred and life grows out of death. Death itself is an illusion. Humanity gave death a face and a name. When the last of humanity dies, so does the idea of death. Some of us are so concerned with death that we forget to live. “
