The Dillinger Escape Plan Post Sneak Preview Of Entire New Album

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN have posted a sneak preview video online of every track on the upcoming album, One Of Us Is The Killer, which is set for a May 14th release. The trailblazing band, whose creative energy and unwavering artistic commitment has reverberated through underground subculture and in tastemaker circles alike since the late 1990s, return with renewed passion and unrivaled skill with their fifth full-length album.

The new Dillinger Escape Plan album was recorded in Southern California with longtime producer Steve Evetts (Glassjaw, The Cure, Suicide Silence), with additional production at guitarist/co-founder Ben Weinman's studio. Mastering will be handled by Tom Baker (Deftones, Nine Inch Nails, Beastie Boys).

The album represents a new holistic pinnacle of the band's constantly evolving and engaging dynamics.

Relapse Records Announces SXSW Showcase Set Times

Renowned independent heavy music label, Relapse Records, has teamed up with Austin, TX's premiere heavy music festival, Chaos in Tejas, to put together an unforgettable night of auditory madness at this year's SXSW Festival in Austin, TX.  The official showcase will feature a stage curated by each group and will take place at Red 7 on Saturday March 16th from 8 PM to 2 AM.  The showcase will be free to all SXSW badge and wristband holders and open to the general public on a first come first serve basis.  Further details on the showcase will be available via the Red 7 website at this location.   

The Relapse Records stage will be headlined by Savannah, GA's sludge-rock warriors Black Tusk and feature sets from Relapse label-mates Royal Thunder, ASG, Howl, Inter Arma, and Call of the Void.  
   
The Chaos In Tejas stage will be headlined by New Orleans bounce superstar Big Freedia and include performances from a diverse lineup including Antwon, Iron Lung, Power Trip, Merchandise, Parquet Courts and the Novice.  
   
Relapse Records formed in 1990 and has released albums from a wide array of artists over the past 23 years including Mastodon, Red Fang, Baroness, Amorphis, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Suffocation, Neurosis, Dying Fetus and many more.  The label recently released a 20 song sampler in tribute to Pat Egan, their longtime Director of Sales, who tragically passed away on Monday February 18th of pneumonia.  The sampler is available for purchase here with all proceeds benefitting his daughter's college fund.

Graveyard: Highest Billboard Chart Debut

Lights Out, the third studio album by Swedish rockers GRAVEYARD, has debuted on the Billboard Heatseekers chart at #6 with sales in excess of 2,000 copies according to Nielsen Soundscan.  This is the band’s highest chart debut and highest first week sales numbers in the U.S. since the release of their self-titled debut album in 2007.

In two months, GRAVEYARD will return to American shores for a headlining run that will launch on January 23^rd in Boston, Massachusetts and inevitably end up in a purple haze in New Orleans on February 24^th.  The tour will feature special appearances in Seattle and Houston from The Devil’s Blood and Royal Thunder.

Graveyard: The Rollingstone Interview

"We really wanted the album to be as dynamic as possible,” states Joakim Nilsson, lead singer of Sweden’s psychedelic rock band GRAVEYARD. “We don't want an album that sounds the same from the start to the end – that's why we do slower songs.  My favorites are always the slower songs. That's what I mostly listen to when I'm at home." 

 Nilsson is referencing Lights Out, GRAVEYARD’s third studio album, released in North America this past Tuesday… you know, the one fans are freakin’ out about in a good way.  And where does this love of slower songs come from?  The quality time Nilsson has spent with the following classics you should already know by heart: Howlin’ Wolf’s “Howling For My Darling,” Muddy Waters’ “I Just Want To Make Love To You,” and Fleetwood Mac’s “Something Inside Of Me,” of course.
