Dubai’s extreme metal heavy weights NERVECELL will be kicking off their "Psychogenocide Middle East Tour 2012" this summer with exclusive shows scheduled to take place in Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Egypt and Lebanon! This extensive tour will be the first of its kind to take place in the Middle East and consists of 2 parts, split before the holy month of Ramadan and continued soon after.

On January 2012, NERVECELL were awarded a plaque of recognition from Virgin Megastores MENA and Spellbind Records for being the "All Time Best Selling Metal Band" and "Top 3 Best Selling UAE Artist" (international repertoire) with the release of their latest album "Psychogenocide".

Virgin & Spellbind Records Present Nervecell Plaque Of Recognition

2011 marked a successful year for Nervecell, kicking off with the launch of their latest album, Psychogenocide, at Sanctuary (Atlantis The Palm Dubai) in March, distributed throughout the Middle East (Spellbind Records) and Europe (Lifeforce Records).

They quickly started touring throughout the year, jumping on two European tours including summer festivals and a slot accompanying Morbid Angel, went on an Asian tour and performed in 7 local gigs in Dubai, adding up to total of 41 gigs. One of their highlights was to open up for Metallica in Abu Dhabi last October before 25,000 music fans, and recording a new track with legendary guitarist Karl Sanders (from US band Nile). Another benchmark in their career was when UK booking agent Factory Music signed them up and new endorsements came through, such as Ibanez and Monster Energy Drinks extending their continuation of support.

Dubai’s metal stars Nervecell will close out the year in style.  What better privilege, for any rock band in the world, than to be asked to open up for THE mighty metal legend METALLICA?

On Tuesday October 25th, the honour will be theirs in Abu Dhabi when they perform a selection of their fans’ favourites from their Psychogenocide, Preaching Venom and EP albums (available in all Virgin Megastores in Middle East), before a sold-out fan pit and thousands in the audience.

A week later, the band will headline Metal Asylum’s 21+ Halloween gig held in Dubai, then prepare for their next tour as support to MORBID ANGEL (3rd best selling death metal band in USA / best selling death metal album of all time / all-time inspiration to Nervecell) on their European circuit this November/December.

In early 2000 the United Arab Emirates witnessed the birth of Nervecell; a formidable metal act, the likes of which was rarely to be seen in the Middle East, never mind Dubai, a cosmopolitan city that is predominantly saturated in mainstream music and chart topping acts.
While the band draws their influences from extreme metal acts like Morbid Angel, Deicide, Suffocation and Bolt Thrower, they also draw inspiration from classic metal bands, such as Pantera, Slayer, Testament, and Sepultura.
Ready and equipped to release their unique mixture of fast paced thrash and brutal death metal, the band set their stall out to be the driving force behind the wave of heavy metal that was ready to explode out of the region.
The band have appeared across Europe and Australia, playing alongside Sepultura, Machine Head, Killswitch Engage, Kreator, Amon Amarth, Immortal, Motörhead, Arch Enemy, Opeth, Chimaira, As I Lay Dying, Deicide, Suffocation to name a few.
Nervecell have also graced the stages of a host of renowned metal festival including

2011 gets better and better for Dubai-based death metal act Nervecell with confirmation that they will open
for metal legends Metallica on home soil at the YAS Arena, Abu Dhabi on October 25th as part of the YAS Island Show Weekends organized by Flash Entertainment.

Nervecell released their latest album, the critically acclaimed ‘Psychogenocide’, earlier this year through Lifeforce Records (Europe) and Spellbind Records (Middle East) and have just returned from a hugely successful run of European shows, including the prestigious Summer Breeze and Brutal Assault festivals.

Nervecell Reveals Initial Summer Tour Plans

Nervecell confirm touring plans in Europe for the summer 2011, so far with stops including festivals Summer Breeze Open Air and Rock Im Betonwerk in Germany and Brutal Assault in Czech Republic. The tour, put together by their management Center Stage Management (CSM), supports their recently released album “Psyhogenocide” now available across Europe and the Middle East.

Three renowned open air festivals have been confirmed for August 2011 by Nervecell’s management firm Center Stage Management (CSM). In Germany, Rock Im Betonwerk on Friday 12th and Summer Breeze Open Air on Friday 19th ; both metal events have an attendance of +40,000 fans. Nervecell will perform on Rock Im Betonwerk’s main stage, outstripping dozens of other bands to play just before headlining act Gernotshagen.
Brutal Assault festival, held in Czech Republic and headlined by Motörhead, has also just announced Nervecell for Thursday 11th August.

Additional summer announcements are pending and will be announced soon to complete their summer tour schedule.

The first leg of the tour began April 30th throughout Asia and included several dates in the Philippines, Sri Lanka and India. It followed two showcase performances in their hometown Dubai, UAE, for their new album “Psychogenocide”, available through Lifeforce Records in all of Europe since May 2nd and in the Middle East since March 31st, through Spellbind Records.

About the festivals :
SUMMER BREEZE Open Air is about to go into its 14th round. The metallic breeze will blow in beautiful Dinkelsbuehl, Germany from August 18th to 20th, 2011. As usual, this year’s SUMMER BREEZE will take place over three days on two open-air stages on the airfield of the Aeroclub Dinkelsbuehl. With the Party Tent and their fourth stage, the Camel Stage, there will be a merciless display of hard music.

BRUTAL ASSAULT is an open air festival held over 3 days on 2 stages with the best from various extreme music genres, a total of more than 75 bands from around the world. The festival will take place inside the Old Army Fortress in Josefov (approx. 130 km from Prague).
