Prong Announce European Tour Dates

New York Metallers PRONG have confirmed that they will be heading over to Europe this Summer. The band is scheduled to play a handful of festival dates as well as a string of headline dates. Currently, the tour is scheduled to kick off June 23^rd in Clisson, France at Hellfest and will run through July 14^th in Serbia at Exit Fest. More dates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. A complete list of dates can be found below.

The album which is quintessentially PRONG, stretches into the band's earliest and dirtiest foundations on which the band was founded on to the present as a staple of today's post-metal and rock scenes.

Rocks Off Concert Cruise Featuring Return Of Prong To NYC

The band founded on New York's Lower East Side is finally making their triumphant return home.  That's right PRONG will be returning to New York City as part of the Metal Insider Rocks Off Concert Cruise aboard the Star of Palm Beach.  This special show will take place on Friday October 19th and is an official CMJ Show. 

Support on the bill will come from This or the Apocalypse, For Sleeping or Jumping and Eminence.

Tickets for the show are on sale now and are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.  The cruise departs from Pier 40, located at West Houston St. at West Side Highway.

PRONG frontman Tommy Victor commented on the bands homecoming:

"PRONG has not played NYC since the release of our latest album Carved Into Stone Actually, we haven't done a gig anywhere in the five boroughs in a very long time. So I'm happy to announce our return home as we board the Rocks Off Cruise on Oct 19th for the Metal Insider Party at CMJ.  The boat rolls out of New York Harbor and from what I hear it'll be circling the Statue of Liberty while we're on stage.  What a great way to celebrate our return!"

Prong Tour Update

Due to circumstances beyond their control PRONG have been forced to pull out of some shows on their current tour including headline dates and shows with Static-X.  The band will still be playing "Knot Fest" and will resume touring starting with a headlining date in Portland, OR at The Hawthorne Theater.  The band is very sorry about this and plan on hitting the East Coast in full force as soon as possible.

Corrosion Of Conformity To Kick Off Special Run With Prong!

Following up a triumphant stretch of West Coast dates earlier this Summer with Torche, Black Cobra and Gaza, this Wednesday, North Carolina crossover revolutionaries CORROSION OF CONFORMITY will kick off a four-date run with New York metallers Prong. The short but epic run will commence in Huntington, West Virginia and steamroll through Winston-Salem, Wilmington, and Savannah. The tour serves as a precursor to their Euro festival takeover this August (see full listing at THIS LOCATION)!

In addition, the band will appear on this year’s Hopscotch Music Fest. The three-day event is set to take place on September 6 – 8, 2012 on their home turf of Raleigh. The band will play alongside a throng of artists from all genres including Sunn O))), The Roots, Baroness, Yo La Tengo, The Jesus And Mary Chain and many more. CORROSION OF CONFORMITY were also added to the colossal Barge To Hell lineup where 40 of metal’s finest acts along with 2,000 headbangers from around the world take over a luxury cruise ship for a five-day/four-night trip to the Caribbean. Founded by three teenagers in 1982, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY began as an underground band and went on to transform heavy music, challenging boundaries and serving as what Decibel Magazine called “a crucial stylistic lynchpin in the bridge between metal and punk” that “irrevocably reshaped crossover’s sonic possibilities.” Thirty years and many changes later, COC’s original trio is back with a self-titled release for London-based independent Candlelight Records. Released Stateside this past March Corrosion Of Conformity was recorded at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Los Angeles, produced by the band in cooperation with long-time collaborator John Custer and mixed by John Lousteau (Foo Fighters). The 11-track offering features the esteemed Animosity lineup of vocalist/bassist Mike Dean, guitarist Woody Weatherman, and drummer/vocalist Reed Mullin and closes a six year recording gap for the band.

Prong Confirm August Tour Dates With Static-X

PRONG will be touring all summer in support of their latest release Carved Into Stone. The band has confirmed that they will be touring this August with Static-X. The tour kicks off August 1^st in Silver Spring, MD and runs through August 29^th in Las Vegas, NV. In between those dates PRONG will be taking part in the inaugural "Knotfest" August 17^th in Pacific Junction, IA and August 18^th in Somerset, WI.
