Behemoth Forced To Cancel Mayhem Festival Appearance

Poland's blackened death metal outfit BEHEMOTH have been forced to cancel their upcoming appearance on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival due to their drummer Inferno taking ill and requiring surgery.

The band's front-man Nergal comments; "This must have been the most difficult decision we were forced to make in recent years. Behemoth is known for not canceling any shows or tours. But this is not something we can do when we are missing our driving force, the man behind the drums - Inferno. Unfortunately, he was hospitalized due to appendix surgery and it's gonna take him few months to fully recover and get back to shape. We are trying to save selected European Festivals with a fill in drummer (Krimh, ex-Decapitated), but we won't be risking doing a full-on prestigious tour like the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival without Inferno. Behemoth is a solid unit and any part of this unit missing makes us weaker, and that is not how we want to present our new material to our fans. Please, accept our apologies and be patient, we shall return to Europe (this fall) and US (early 2014) empowered and motivated as never before!"

The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival is set to kick off on Saturday, June 29 in San Bernardino, CA and features bands such as Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Mastodon, label mates Amon Amarth, Machine Head, label mates Job For a Cowboy and Battlecross, Children of Bodom, and many more. For tickets, dates, contests, and more, head to the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Official Site and follow the tour on Facebook and Twitter.

BEHEMOTH's recently announced forthcoming full-length album, The Satanist, is scheduled for a fall 2013 release. For further updates please visit the band's Facebook page and MetalBlade.com.

Behemoth Announces Title Of Forthcoming Full-Length Album

BEHEMOTH, who have been holed up in Hertz Studios working on their tenth full-length album, are pleased to announce the title of their forthcoming full-length album—THE SATANIST. The album will come out in the fall of 2013—stay tuned for more studio updates, music, preorder info and more at metalblade.com/behemoth.

"It took us over two decades to come up with a title that…says it all. While our new songs artistically take surprisingly adventurous directions, our message stands steadfast—Proud and Radical. THE SATANIST stands for undying yearning for liberation and love for freedom in all aspects of life. Considering all our life experiences that often took dramatic curves I couldn't think of more appropriate and fitting statement of who and where we are now" comments BEHEMOTH front man Nergal.

As the band continues to record, they have been posting images and lyrics for portions of new songs. Fans can also read an in-depth interview with Nergal in the June/July issue of Revolver that features Metallica on the cover. Grab your copy here.

More updates will be posted as they are made available. Fans can stay up to date with the absolute latest at facebook.com/behemoth and twitter.com/behemothband.

Nergal Announces Demon Energy Drink Endorsement

Nergal, the prolific front man of blackened death metal act, Behemoth, is proud to announce that he will be endorsing Demon Energy Drink. As in every project Nergal approaches, this will be on his own terms: a portion of the proceeds will benefit the DKMS foundation. The DKMS foundation raises awareness and funds to benefit those diagnoses with various forms of blood cancer. For more information, and to find out how to get involved, please visit dkmsamericas.org.

Nergal comments on endorsing Demon Energy Drink: "Well, I decided to accept the offer to be a face of this energy drink called Demon. I've never been much of a fan of such drinks but I loved the idea behind it… the whole campaign is strongly connected with DKMS foundation (the one that found a bone marrow donor for myself). The percentage of sales will be donated to the foundation and will make this whole business worthwhile for me. Besides, I loved the name and a logo…so why the fuck not?"

There continues to be more great news from the Behemoth camp. The band has announced that they will begin rehearsals for their next album in September, following their performances at several European festivals over the next two weeks. Additionally, the band will embark on a tour of Eastern Europe in the fall. More tour dates and news regarding brand new music from Behemoth will be released as it becomes available.

Nergal elaborates on the upcoming tour dates: "This is what I call the perfect ending of a touring cycle. Finally, we are arriving in Eastern European and South American shores this fall. I know it's been ages…and I know there've been legions waiting for us…on behalf of the band I must say though: the wait is over; we are coming back rejuvenated and hungry! See you all very soon!"

Behemoth Prepares For Hellfest, Graspop

Behemoth has recently completed a series of shows and festivals throughout Europe. The shows were a massive success and featured some of the band's intense stage production to date. To sample what these shows were like, check out this bootleg of "Lucifer", live in Pratteln, Switzerland HERE.

Behemoth front man Nergal adds the following: "We are back home recharging our batteries before striking back at Hellfest and Graspop! Things are intense and it feels great to be raging across Europe with renewed show and refreshed set list! Unfortunately, we were kind of cursed when it came to weather forecasts on this European trek. One show in Austria had to be cancelled due to a massive thunderstorm. Nevertheless, we kept on conquering. Eight shows completed. A perfect warm up before summer. Hail to everyone who was there to support us!"
