HEAD OF DEATH, the debut album from New York heavy metal warriors NATUR, is out now in North America on CD and digital download.

NATUR have garnered a distinct underground following via the release of their 'Spider Baby' 7", along with performances with the likes of HIGH ON FIRE.  The band have also been praised by DARKTHRONE mastermind FENRIZ, who featured them in his "Band of the Week" column, stating, "Awesome band playing old metal with old sound.  What's not to like?".

Natur Kick Off Mini East Coast Tour With Occvlta This Sunday

New York heavy metal warriors NATUR are preparing to kick off a mini East Coast tour this Sunday, June 10th, ahead of the release of the band's debut album, HEAD OF DEATH.

NATUR will be joined by German black metal group OCCVLTA for the run of dates, which begins in Baltimore, Maryland at the Talking Head Lounge.

NATUR drummer TOOTH comments:

"Finally!  Our German brothers in OCCVLTA will be coming to our side of the planet!  Very excited to hit the road and play some new places.  This will be a great week for sure!  After seeing them kill London two years in a row at the Live Evil Festival it was certain we had to host them in the States.  Can't wait to bang skulls side by side again!  Heavy metal is our way!"

Natur, Windhand, Pilgrim - East Coast Tour Kick-Off - March 1st

Join us to celebrate the East Coast tour kick-off of NATUR, WINDHAND, & PILGRIM.

NATUR, an "awesome band playing old metal with old sound," according to Fenriz, have achieved cult-like status within the Brooklyn metal scene. Having recently signed with Earache Records, the band take their true metal on the road, embarking on a run of the East Coast with Richmond's psychedelic doom-hounds, Windhand, and Providence RI's cursed doom threesome, Pilgrim. Magic Circle join the touring troupe for the send-off in Brooklyn.

Natur Give Away Free "Spider Baby" MP3 Track

New York heavy metal warriors NATUR are giving away a free MP3 download of their mesmerising debut single, "Spider Baby", via New York's own Village Voice blog.

The band spoke to the Village Voice about the meaning behind the song, the recording sessions for the track and their experiences of performing in New York City.

An excerpt from the interview follows:

Weibust (guitars/vocals): "Spider Baby is 100% inspired by the 1968 black-comedy horror film my friend Erin McCord let me borrow - thanks, Erin!  There are some strange themes in the film that I felt would be a great premise for a song.  It's perverted, grotesque and sinister with a pretty amazing back-story.  Originally the movie was called Cannibal Orgy; can't go wrong with a title like that, if you ask me.  The three orphans in the movie all suffer from a disease called the 'Merrye Syndrome'.  Once they reach the age of 18 they begin to slowly regress into cannibals as they get older/younger.  So the lyrics are pretty much based around this idea, but also giving them the personification of a spider, which one of the daughters already has throughout the film."
