Huntress Reveals Song From Upcoming Album Co-Written By Lemmy

HUNTRESS is back with the follow up to their buzzworthy debut album Spell Eater, which was released in 2012.  The album entitled Starbound Beast will be released on June 28th in Europe and on July 2nd in North America via Napalm Records.  The band recorded the album at Hobby Shop Studios in Los Angeles, CA, working with famed producer Zeuss (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, Agnostic Front).  The artwork for Starbound Beast was created once again by Vance Kelly (Slayer, Ghost B.C., Mastodon).

HUNTRESS has unveiled the first song from Starbound Beast.  The track entitled "I Want to Fuck You to Death" was co-written for singer Jill Janus by legendary Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister

Frontwoman Jill Janus spoke about the collaboration:

"I met Lemmy through my former band Chelsea Girls. We'd play hard rock and metal covers featuring guest celebrities. Lemmy was already friends with the girls, so he played "Ace of Spades" with us and it blew my mind. We stayed in touch and would meet up at The Rainbow for drinks. So I asked him a few months back over Jack & Cokes if he'd write lyrics for a Huntress song and he said 'Sure'. A few weeks later, I met him at the studio during Motorhead recording sessions. Lemmy handed me two two pieces of notebook paper with the lyrics for 'I Want to Fuck You to Death'. I am beyond honored. To me, this is a love song. It is the most romantic song I've ever heard."

Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister also spoke of the collaboration:

"The first time I heard Jill's voice with Chelsea Girls, it was phenomenal. I wrote these lyrics from her point of view, the Huntress. 'I Want to Fuck You to Death' was inspired by her, written for her. I've always had a soft spot for her. And a hard spot too..."

The song is available as an exclusive stream on the HUNTRESS Facebook Page.  When visiting the facebook page, clicking the "like" button will enable the audio.

In support of Starbound Beast the band will be touring across North America this summer as part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.   The band will be featured on the Jagermeister Stage alongside Machine Head, Battlecross & Others.  The tour kicks off June 29th in San Bernardino, CA and runs through August 4th in Dallas, TX.  A complete list of dates can be found below.  The band took part in the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Press Conference and performed live, check out footage HERE.

HUNTRESS was spawned from the preternatural union of Jill Janus with underground metal bands Professor and Dark Black. They thrive on thundering drums, heavy riffs, spectral solos and catchy choruses that come from the band's musical concoction of occult science and bong rips. HUNTRESS remains true to the roots of melodic heavy metal with a penchant for thrash, death and black metal.

Huntress Continues To Support Spell Eater On European Tour

Fearless metal sensation HUNTRESS is has recently premiered their new EPK via Loudwire.com (http://loudwire.com/singer-jill-janus-tells-the-story-of-huntress-exclusive-video/). The four-minute piece delves into the mind of vocalist Jill Janus, who elaborates on what makes the band so enthralling and haunting. Los Angeles based Huntress, whom LA Weekly called, "...true to the roots of melodic heavy metal with a penchant for thrash, death and black metal" released their buzzworthy debut album Spell Eater earlier in 2012 via Napalm Records. Janus began her ascension into the realm of heavy metal in the Catskill Mountains of New York. She was born to scream - an operatic banshee with a four-octave range. Devildriver Announce Final Dates Of Touring Cycle For Beast

California metal rockers DEVILDRIVER are preparing to hit the road one final time in North America in support of their latest release Beast.  The tour is scheduled to kick off October 7th in Grand Junction, Colorado with a string of headlining dates before the band meets up with GWAR on October 12th in Philadelphia, PA to start the "Fate or Chaos" tour.  DEVILDRIVER will also play select headline dates during off days of the tour with GWAR.  A complete list of tour dates can be found below.
Frontman Dez Fafara commented on the upcoming tour with GWAR:

DEVILDRIVER was going to take some time off from our touring schedule in October and November, but when we were asked to support GWAR, it was a resounding YES in our Camp!

The GWAR tour we did is still the most fun the band and I have ever had on a run and we are all excited and looking forward to these shows.  Our crowds go together well and it will be Halloween Season so it seems appropriate and fitting we should be out on the road at this time and with a timeless act like The All Mighty GWAR!

HAIL to the Devils Duo about to ride together again!!!

Huntress Joins Wretched Tour Beginning July 17

After successful runs on Paganfest and with Dragonforce in the US earlier this year, and Metalfest Open Air shows in Europe just weeks ago, there are still fans awaiting the onslaught delivered by HUNTRESS. Beginning July 17, 2012, the fearless metal pentad fronted by Jill Janus, whom LA Weekly named "It Girl in metal,"will be direct support on Wretched's 17-city tour. Please see below for a list of tour dates.

Los Angeles based metal band Huntress released their buzzworthy debut album Spell Eater on May 8, 2012 via Napalm Records. The album, which Metal Hammer calls "a magical debut from the hottest new act of 2012," was recorded last fall in Los Angeles and was produced by Chris Rakestraw (Danzig, Children of Bodom and Skeletonwitch). The music video for the album's title track sums up the band at its core: true to the roots of melodic heavy metal with a penchant for thrash, death and black metal. To view the video, click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lz_VbKLC_jI.

Huntress was spawned from the preternatural union of Jill Janus and the Southern California metal band Professor. Janus began her ascension into the realm of heavy metal in the Catskill Mountains of New York. She was born to scream - an operatic banshee with a four-octave range. The Catskills were not enough to contain her, and in her teens she toured Europe as a young opera prodigy.

Upon her return to New York, Janus took Manhattan by storm where she became a part of the nihilistic club scene and hosted Felliniesque parties to support her quest for Huntress. A few years later she would make the journey to Los Angeles, where she would ultimately find her band. Huntress is a blend of thundering drums, heavy riffs, spectral solos and catchy choruses that come from the band's musical concoction of occult science and archaic sorcery. Let the witches in!
