Nachtmystium Announces Barge To Hell Appearance

Having recently released their critically acclaimed album Silencing Machine, NACHTMYSTIUM is now ready to bring their unique brand of black metal to fans on Barge To Hell! In regards to their upcoming appearances (as well as their cancelled North American tour with JARBOE), the band comments:

"NACHTMYSTIUM fans on the east coast: we ARE coming out for three shows in a little over a week and finish with a fourth one in Chicago! Then we will be appearing on the Barge To Hell metal cruise ship going from Miami, FL to Nassau, Bahamas and back. Playing alongside SODOM, AT THE GATES, MAYHEM, ROTTING CHRIST, MOONSPELL, MORGOTH, NAPALM DEATH and many, many many more awesome bands!"

"A full U.S. tour WILL be happening sometime between January and April, 2013. Sorry to any of you hoping to catch us on this run. The tour was doomed from the get go in a lot of ways due to things unrelated to the band or our ability to tour. Just poor timing, nothing more, nothing less. We will be doing a thorough US tour early in 2013, so look for us coming to your city soon...And anyone out in the areas we're playing in a week or so, we look forward to seeing you at the shows!"

All upcoming NACHTMYSTIUM tour dates are below.

"While not as outwardly experimental as 'Assassins' and 'Addicts' genre cross-breeding, 'Silencing Machine' still pushes [NACHTMYSTIUM's] sound forward, bringing the psychedelic and post-punk influences into an organic synthesis with their anthems to the welkin at midnight." -- DECIBEL MAGAZINE

"After releasing two albums--2008's 'Assassins: Black Meddle Part 1' and 2010's 'Addicts: Black Meddle Part 2'--that strayed significantly from the band's black metal roots, Chicago's NACHTMYSTIUM have returned to the wintry void with their latest, 'Silencing Machine.'" -- REVOLVER MAGAZINE

"NACHTMYSTIUM has always been the torchbearer when it comes to pushing black metal's boundaries to unthinkable, un-forest locales and while 2008's 'Assassins: Black Meddle Part I' and 2010's 'Addicts: Black Meddle Part II' were impressive bouts of exploratory surgeries, it is 'Silencing Machine' that is the true follow-up to NACHTMYSTIUM catalogue highlight 'Instinct: Decay'..." -- BRAVE WORDS

Doomsday: Chicago Death Faction Unleash New Hymn

As DOOMSDAY prepare to release their self-titled debut recording in early November, today the end-time quintet have set a track from the record loose into the general population. The record’s pummeling second track, “The Punishment,” is now playing via BrooklynVegan, who is also sponsoring the crew’s tour with Krieg and Wolvhammer set to embark late this month.

Be trampled into submission by “The Punishment” RIGHT HERE.

Chicago-based DOOMSDAY unites guitarist Jeff Wilson (Chrome Waves, Wolvhammer, ex-Nachtmystium), guitarist/vocalist Jon Necromancer (Bones, ex-Usurper, ex-Nachtmystium), drummer Zack Simmons (Goatwhore, ex-Nachtmystium), vocalist Zion Meagher (Anti-Human Thesis, ex-Forest Of Impaled, ex-Nachtmystium) and bassist Bob Fouts (The Gates of Slumber, Chrome Waves, Apostle Of Solitude). A twenty-one minute assault, their facefucking self-titled debut was engineered by Sanford Parker (Nachtmystium, Twilight, Circle of Animals) and Carl Byers (Coffinworm), and melds the members’ cruel musical insight resulting in a depressingly grim crust-influenced blackened musical holocaust as invigorating as it is intimidating.

Doomsday is set for release November 6th on guitarist Jeff Wilson’s newly founded Disorder Recordings, alongside new releases from Chrome Waves, Wolvhammer and more. Check out the record’s track listing, its cover art by Christina Caperson and more HERE.

DOOMSDAY will assault the Midwest and Northeast U.S. on a nine-date run alongside cohorts Krieg and Wolvhammer, sponsored by BrooklynVegan, where Doomsday will be available directly from the band for the first time.

Doomsday Debut To See November Release

Chicago-based mob DOOMSDAY have completed their debut album and plan to disburse the filth to the public on the band’s own label this Fall, in conjunction with a throng of tour dates across the Midwest and Eastern U.S.

DOOMSDAY’s obviously apocalyptic vision has been several years in the making conceptually. An idea birthed between guitarist Jeff Wilson (Wolvhammer, Chrome Waves, ex-Nachtmystium), guitarist/vocalist Jon Necromancer (Bones, ex-Usurper, ex-Nachtmystium) and drummer Zack Simmons (Goatwhore, ex-Nachtmystium), the trio recruited vocalist Zion Meagher (Anti-Human Thesis, ex-Forest Of Impaled, ex-Nachtmystium) and bassist Bob Fouts (The Gates of Slumber, Chrome Waves, Apostle Of Solitude) to round out the lineup.

After months of writing and planning, their individual schedules finally allowed the five members of DOOMSDAY to amalgamate in the studio to create their debut offering. Converging in their hometown the crew hammered out six tracks in six days in December 2011, the brutally direct hymns engineered by Sanford Parker (Nachtmystium, Twilight, Circle of Animals) and Carl Byers (Coffinworm). The result: a twenty-one minute low-end blackened death-crust assault compiled as the outfit’s self-titled debut, now set for release on guitarist Jeff Wilson’s newly founded Disorder Recordings on November 6th.

Directly preceding the official release date in November, DOOMSDAY will assault the Midwest and Northeast U.S. on a nine-date run sponsored by BrooklynVegan, alongside cohorts Krieg and Wolvhammer, where Doomsday will be available directly from the band for the first time.

"...Blake Judd knows how to write the fuck out of a black metal songs." -- "Album of the Week", STEREOGUM

"Let BARONESS go disco: The fuzzy, phasey black metal melodicists drag rhythms back into cemetery gates." -- 7/10, SPIN

"This is black metal that feels both raw and accessible, both secure in its genre conventions and happy to fuck with them. It's an impressive and stylish reinvention of an earlier form by a band that could've easily lost the plot, but instead reigned in the excess, and wrote us a new one." -- 8/10, PITCHFORK

"With 'Silencing Machine,' NACHTMYSTIUM's sixth album, Blake Judd and his fellow Chicago-based melodic black metallurgists have put together a fantastically tormented document-- a recipe for Armageddon that promises things getting darkest before the death." -- 3/4, THE PORTLAND PHOENIX

"While not as outwardly experimental as 'Assassins' and 'Addicts' genre cross-breeding, 'Silencing Machine' still pushes [NACHTMYSTIUM's] sound forward, bringing the psychedelic and post-punk influences into an organic synthesis with their anthems to the welkin at midnight." -- 7/10, DECIBEL MAGAZINE

"'Silencing Machine' can serve many purposes, both for the listener looking for a good dose of Black Metal, or one who wants to hear a band take the style and mix a few other elements in." -- 8/10, METAL INJECTION

"NACHTMYSTIUM has always been the torchbearer when it comes to pushing black metal's boundaries to unthinkable, un-forest locales and while 2008's 'Assassins: Black Meddle Part I' and 2010's 'Addicts: Black Meddle Part II' were impressive bouts of exploratory surgeries, it is 'Silencing Machine' that is the true follow-up to NACHTMYSTIUM catalogue highlight 'Instinct: Decay'..." -- 8/10, BRAVE WORDS
