Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 10:36PM Following its massive European release in late March, We Are Ghosts -- the fifth full-length from reigning German metalcore quintet SIX REASONS TO KILL -- now hits North American shores via Massacre Records.

Founded in 1999 when the hybrid of metal and hardcore was a newer underground movement, SIX REASONS TO KILL has constantly evolved their sound through releases on Alveran, Bastardized, Tribunal and other notable labels, including four previous full-lengths in addition to split albums with both Absidia and Deadlock. The band has toured across Europe constantly, alongside well-known acts like Hatebreed, Caliban, Maroon, Hatesphere, Deadlock, Samael, Pro-Pain and Burning Skies, along the way playing innumerable shows and festivals with various acts such as Suicidal Tendencies, Testament, Parkway Drive, Unearth, The Black Dahlia Murder, Shadows Fall, Bleeding Through, Napalm Death, Heaven Shall Burn among many others.
We Are Ghosts is a display of why SIX REASONS TO KILL have been one of the most consistent acts at what they‘re doing since before the turn of the century; playing modern and aggressive metal with strong hardcore influences, without ever losing sight of their target audience. The wicked ten-track opus was produced at Kohlekeller Studio by Kristian ‘Kohle’ Bonifer (Powerwolf, Crematory, The Burning, Benighted) and hatefully drags the listener through more than forty minutes of down-tuned, earthmoving breakdowns and guttural torment.

Friday, May 24, 2013 at 5:30PM Today, FACT and Alternative Press Magazine are exclusively bringing you the band’s new live performance music video for ‘Tonight’. The track is a great starter song for new fans, as ‘Tonight’ is essentially the essence of the band condensed into just over a minute! The band expertly displays their effortless ability to mix blastbeat-laden metalcore and pop-punk influenced harmonies—a skill that is evident throughout FACT’s new album Burundanga, which drops on its new release date of June 4, 2013 via Good Fight Music. Take a look at the new video for ‘Tonight’ at this location.

FACT vocalist/guitarist Adam Graham states, “The video was shot when we did a (sold out) headline show at a venue called The Pipeline in London in March this year after our UK tour with Your Demise. It was rad.”
Graham adds, “The track ‘Tonight’ was recorded in Florida with Elvis Baskette (as was the rest of the album), and it's probably one of my favourite songs on the record. Lyrically, ‘Tonight’ is a song about realising the moment you're in and seizing the opportunities that that moment presents. Not wanting to sound pretentious or anything, but it's about that moment of epiphany when you realise that you're the one who controls your own destiny. It's a positive message – it's about takings control and taking responsibility. It fits into the lyrical theme of the album as a whole because a lot of Burundanga is about being able to take the positives out of loss and regret - everyone has dark stuff happen to them, but it's all about being able to pick out the specks of light in those dark times, and ‘Tonight’ is all about doing that right now.”
FACT has another video up for viewing, this time for the track ‘Pink Rolex’, exclusively available on their Facebook page. Check it out at this location.
Burundanga is a digital-only release and will be available from iTunes, Amazon and all your favorite digital music retailers.
With the band’s last two records charting in the Top 10 in their native Japan, the band has continued to enhance their burgeoning reputation with intensive touring both on home turf and across the United States and Europe – touring which has seen them play on the main stage at festivals such as Sonisphere (UK) and Summer Sonic (Japan) as well as forge a hardcore following with a series of club tours alongside established international touring acts Your Demise, Iwrestledabearonce, Senses Fail and Memphis May Fire amongst many others. At the present, FACT has sold roughly 260,000 albums worldwide.

Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 5:22PM Christian metalcore outfit Ace Augustine and Bryan Stars have partnered up to exclusively stream the band’s new album, and first on Red Cord Records, The Sick and Suffering. The full album may be streamed HERE, and featured single “Mannequins” which has a Music Video.

The writing process for The Sick and Suffering began during the spring of 2012 with vocalist/guitarist Tyler Chadwick writing the entire album and recording the pre-production tracks by himself in his college dorm room over a three month period. With Tyler commenting, “We had no record label at the time and really no direction, no vision of the future; all we knew was that we had a lot of fans that wanted to hear new Ace Augustine music that hadn't been written yet and that we had no way to release it to them. It was a very stressful and awkward time.” Then things took a turn for the worse during the summer as their drummer and vocalist at the time departed the band. Tyler commented on these events by stating, “While both of these events seemed negative, even catastrophic at the time, this is where Ace Augustine was reborn. We found new members and a fresh new direction that ended up with us putting together a record that we are so proud of.”
Tyler goes on to talk about the finished product, “I always hate when bands say that their album is much more mature than their previous, but the truth is that for us that statement is entirely true. I was fifteen when The Absolute was primarily written and I've actually grown up and matured since then. It is an album that we have poured so much emotion into and something that I am extremely proud of. I love that I get so excited every time I sit down and listen to it and still get goose bumps every time I hear some of the lines that are in the songs. I hope this record shows everyone that Ace Augustine is back and that we aren't going anywhere soon.”
