Sanctuary Signs Worldwide Deal With Century Media Records

Century Media Records is proud to announce the signing of the legendary Seattle metal band SANCTUARY. In 2010, four of the founding members, Warrel Dane, Jim Sheppard, Lenny Rutledge and Dave Budbill, came together for a few select reunion performances. At first, it was just going to be a handful of shows, but the response and chemistry on stage was so overwhelming that the guys changed their minds. Now, some 20 years after they left off, SANCTUARY will continue with their unique mix of US power metal, hard rock and progressive elements and begin work on a new LP. To complete the line-up, Brad Hull (FORCED ENTRY) will be filling in for former guitar player Sean Blosi. A late 2013 release is planned.

The band comments:

Warrel Dane: "Having been with Century Media since 1995 with NEVERMORE, it was a very comfortable decision for SANCTUARY to sign with them. Century Media has a great team that always delivers for all of their bands. I've known most of them on a first name basis for many years and I look forward to this new chapter in history."

Lenny Rutledge: "I can speak for every member of SANCTUARY when I say we are all excited to join the Century Media family. We now have the opportunity to work with the best metal record label on the planet. We are looking forward to creating great music with an awesome team behind us."

SANCTUARY released the classic albums Refuge Denied and Into The Mirror Black during their short existence between 1985 and 1992. Following the band's dissolve, singer Warrel Dane and bassist Jim Sheppard formed NEVERMORE.

Immolation On The Cover Of Decibel Magazine!

New York death metal legends IMMOLATION are on the cover of the latest issue of Decibel Magazine, which can be purchased here! In the issue, vocalist Ross Dolan discusses their new album Kingdom of Conspiracy and the Decibel Magazine Tour they’re a part of alongside CANNIBAL CORPSE and NAPALM DEATH, which is currently selling-out everywhere! An excerpt from the interview is as follows:

“We’ve known both bands for 25 years, pretty much,” says sweetheart Dolan. “We booked a show for NAPALM here at a place called Streets in Yonkers back in ‘89 and the night before they played CBGBs. It was their first time in the States. We met them when we took a trip over there, and I think I actually met Barney when he was still in BENEDICTION. The CANNIBAL guys we’ve known since about ‘88 or ‘89. We met them at a show at L’amour back in the day, exchanged demos and have been friends ever since. We’re so lucky because both of these bands are hands down two of the coolest bands to tour with. We went out with CANNIBAL when [vocalist] George [Fischer] first joined the band on the Vile tour. We’re real tight with all these guys. It’s great getting out there, but when you get out there with guys like these without egos and bullshit—just genuine guys who are into the music, out there to have a good time and not make anyone’s life miserable—that’s what it’s about to me.”

Kingdom of Conspiracy, IMMOLATION’s ninth full-length album and follow up to their 2010 release Majesty and Decay, was released on May 14^th in North America both digitally and physically via Nuclear Blast. Kingdom of Conspiracy was recorded at Sound Studios in Millbrook, NY with longtime producer Paul Orofino, and mixed and mastered once again by Zack Ohren (ALL SHALL PERISH, DECREPIT BIRTH, SUFFOCATION).

Amaranthe Announces 2013 North American Headline Tour

After years in waiting, and a short prelude in the form of their 2012 PROGPOWER USA appearance, Swedish/Danish modern metal sextet AMARANTHE are now very excited to announce their very first U.S. headline tour, starting on July 17^th in New York City at the Gramercy Theatre! The tour hits several major U.S. cities and more dates are scheduled to be added soon. Support will come from Kobra And The Lotus. The Kennedy Veil Prepare To Enter The Studio

Sacramento, CA's modern death metal juggernauts, The Kennedy Veil, are set to enter the studio to begin recording their debut full length, 'Trinity of Falsehood,' in June. The band will be heading to NB Recording in Santa Rosa, CA to work with Producer/Engineer Nick Botelho (Ænimus, Deadly Remains, Hatchet). The band will also be filming during the recording process, in order to keep fans up to date with studio video updates and some clips of new music as well.

Drummer Gabe Seeber had the following to say about heading into the studio: "FINALLY! We're so excited to get into the studio to record "Trinity of Falsehood" this June. This album will be leaps beyond "Sentence of Their Conqueror" and will really showcase where the songwriting is going with future material. We've been working on this album for a long time now and it's exactly what we want it to be, so we can't wait to get it out there for everyone to hear!"

The band's new vocalist, Taylor Wientjes, followed up with his thoughts on recording and touring: "After collectively working on this album for the last 2 years, we are SUPER stoked to hit the studio to record our debut album for Unique Leader Records. Not only are we ecstatic about recording, but to hit the road as well. The Kennedy Veil got a small taste of touring, doing a few dates on the Bloodletting North America tour with Vale of Pnath, Inanimate Existence, Kamikabe, and the absolutely crushing Gorod. As the new guy and young blood in the band, I have to say that it was a surreal experience to be a part of. Meeting so many amazing people and talented musicians was incredible. 'Trinity of Falsehood' is set to contain 11 tracks of Trendkilling Modern Death Metal, and is tentatively set to see a release through Unique Leader Records later this year.
