Sylosis Guitarist Breaks Wrist, Out For Remainder Of US Tour

UK thrash metal export, Sylosis, has issued an update via the band’s official Facebook page at: http://www.facebook.com/sylosis, revealing that guitarist, Alex Bailey, has suffered a broken wrist and will be out of action for the remainder of the band’s current North American tour with As I Lay Dying. Touring guitarist, Brandon Ellis, will fill in for Bailey for the rest of the run.

“To update our American fans on what's been happening over the past couple of days. On Tuesday Bailey had an unfortunate accident where he sustained a broken arm which has meant he is unable to continue playing on this tour. We have however found a replacement guitarist to cover the rest of the AILD tour dates. For those fans who have seen us at both New York headline date and support for AILD you will have noticed we played as a 3 piece.

“We'd like to thank the guys in Mutiny Within - Brandon Jacobs, Andrew Jacobs and Chris Clancy, also Kyle Odell of Vanisher & Tommy Vext for being very supportive and helping us work this situation out!”

Behemoth: New Music Video For "Lucifer" Now Live!

The music video for the track Lucifer off BEHEMOTH’s 2009 release Evangelion can now be seen HERE. Lucifer is the final track on Evangelion, clocks in at over eight minutes long, and is one of the most atmospheric and foreboding songs in BEHEMOTH’s vast catalogue. The video was shot in Wroclaw, Poland and stars the song's guest vocalist, Maciej Malenczuk.

Back in print and newly repackaged, Demonica chronicles the earliest recordings of Polish blackened death metal legends BEHEMOTH! Demonica will include two booklets; a 28 page booklet and a 16 page booklet with rare photos and lyrics that were not included with the original release. Painstakingly compiled by the band, and in particular, front-man and founding member Nergal, who had this to say about compiling lyrics:

"Finding and collecting all the lyrics was a difficult task, demanding patience and time. With an aim of preserving the so-called historical authenticity, I have resolved to forward the lyrics in their original form, even though some of the language mistakes in them may obscure the overall meaning of the work…The fact that none of them has ever been published before, speaks of their exceptional collectors or even historical value…All the lyrics, despite their imperfections and just terrible English, depict me from the time of their creation. I still believe that it was a very straightforward and honest material, which had its mighty influence on who I am today."

Melechesh: Issue End Of Tour Statement!

“We have recently completed our North American tour, which took us  all over the place and over several climates. From snow filled mountains and ice cold weather to the pure summer heat of deserts and beaches. We met also a lot of interesting people. From rap gangsters, to crazy fanatic Christians (who seem to hate soup kitchen operators, motor mouth women, sport fanatics), to pastor’s kids who do not seem to know where Jerusalem is, to rednecks who were rather funny and nice, to a haunted venue and its “ghosts(?)”.  It was a pure pleasure to meet our fans, friends and supporters in North America. We thank you all for the warm reception and enthusiasm . You made us hungry for more!

MELECHESH recently released the highly anticipated video clip for the song “Grand Gathas Of Baal Sin” from their most recent masterpiece The Epigenesis. The Epigenesis was recorded in the newly built first class Babajim Studios in Istanbul, Turkey. The album was mixed by Reuben de Lautour and mastered by Pieter Snapper. In an unprecedented move in metal, the band chose to record the album entirely in Istanbul in an attempt to capture the inspiring surroundings. Babajim Studios is run by some of the most elite sound engineers in Turkey.

Unearth Announce Dates With Suicide Silence
