Sixth Annual Mayhem Festival Announces Artist Lineup

Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, the world’s biggest hard and heavy music touring festival announces its electrifying sixth-year lineup. Artists performing on the 2013 thunderous fest include main stage metal and horror legend, festival closer, ROB ZOMBIE, plus, the triple gold certified FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and a monster lineup that includes additional main stage bands MASTODON and AMON AMARTH. The festival area is led by stage closers CHILDREN OF BODOM and MACHINE HEAD as well as BEHEMOTH, JOB FOR A COWBOY, EMMURE, BORN OF OSIRIS, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, BUTCHER BABIES, BATTLECROSS, HUNTRESS, THROWN INTO EXILE and CITY IN THE SEA. Four stages will be presented this year for the first time ever and the stages include the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAIN STAGE, THE JAGERMEISTER STAGE, MUSICIANS INSTITUTE STAGE, as well as, the SUMERIAN RECORDS/HEADBANG FOR THE HIGHWAY CONCOURSE STAGE, (local bands performing on the Sumerian Records/Headbang for the Highway Stage will be announced in June).

A rock icon and auteur filmmaker with insight and unlimited vision, Rob Zombie has continuously challenged audiences as he stretches the boundaries of music, film, and publishing. Now, the seven-time Grammy nominated recording artist releases his fifth solo album, Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor, which streets April 23, and includes the first single, “ Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Super Town,” along with such tracks as “Ging Gang Gong De Do Gong De Laga Raga,” “Lucifer Rising,” “Behold! Punch continue their evolution in 2013 by releasing a new single in early May, followed by their fourth studio album in June.  FFDP are set to perform live at this year’s Revolver Golden

Gods Awards show in Los Angeles on May 2 and will warm up for Mayhem playing this summer’s most prestigious European festivals, amongst them UK’s Download Festival and

Artist Scholarship! This scholarship fully covers tuition and material fees for a two quarter IAP

'Metalocalypse: Dethklok Dethalbum III' Debuts at #10

Adult Swim is pleased to reveal that DETHKLOK’s new album, Metalocalypse: Dethklok Dethalbum III, has debuted at #10 on the Billboard Top 200 charts in its first week! The album has also debuted at #1 on the Hard Music Albums chart. Metalocalypse: Dethklok Dethalbum III was released last week via Williams Street Records, the network’s independent music label. This is the highest debut charting position that DETHKLOK has garnered since the beginning of the show.

DETHKLOK recently announced a North American headline tour with support from All That Remains, Machine Head, and special guest The Black Dahlia Murder. All That Remains Announces U.S. Tour

All That Remains (ATR) will hit the road this fall with Dethklok, Machine Head, and special guests, The Black Dahlia Murder.   ATR will serve as direct support to Dethklok (alternating with Machine Head).  The tour kicks off on October 30 in Norfolk, VA will make more than 30 stops throughout the United States and Canada before coming to an end in Atlanta, GA (full tour dates below). All That Remains will release its much-anticipated new studio album, A War You Cannot Win on November 6^th 2012 via Razor & Tie.   The new album will be the band’s seventh studio album to date and their follow up to For We Are Many.  A lyric video for the first single, “Stand Up” is available now – WATCH HERE.

 

A War You Cannot Win sees ATR reunited with longtime producer Adam D (The Devil Wears Prada, As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage). The record is the culmination of an intense writing period for the group that began shortly after 18 months of touring in support of their last album For We Are Many.   The band will tour heavily in support of the new album with a fall tour to be announced soon.

Machine Head To Embark On Fall Tour

Machine Head will spend the next few months on the road, doing what they do best and that's lay waste to stages across the U.S., reducing them to piles of rubble and ash.

In advance of the tour, in mid-September, “Darkness Within,” one of band’s most powerful offerings, will ship to Rock radio.  The video for the track can be viewed HERE.

The Bay Area metal titans will embark on what is sure to be one of the "must see" tours of the fall season with Dethklok, All That Remains and Black Dahlia Murder. That lineup translates into one helluva night for metalheads.

The trek kicks off on October 24^th with a “warm up show” in Louisville, Kentucky, 2 massive radio festivals in Orlando and Tampa Florida, and then begins with Dethklok on Oct 30^th at The Norva in Norfolk, Virginia and will hit 33 cities before wrapping on December 8^th in Atlanta, Georgia.

This tour will also be offering a limited number of Machine Head VIP Meet and Greet packages, look for updates and links coming later this week.

Machine Head will be further supporting their 2011-released masterwork Unto the Locust, which was dubbed "a landmark for Machine Head, a landmark for heavy metal" by ARTISTdirect and which was said to be an album that is so good, it "rewards revisiting" by Decibel. The record was also heralded as one of the best of the past year by Loudwire, capping off near-universal praise for another instant classic in the Machine Head catalog. Jon Wiederhorn of Revolver proclaims “in terms of quality and significance, Unto the Locust may well be this decade's Master of Puppets.”

Lamb Of God Announces Auction For Blythe Defense Fund

While LAMB OF GOD singer Randy Blythe is back home in America after five weeks in prison in the Czech Republic, his legal problems are far from over.  Manslaughter charges are still hanging over Blythe and at some point over the next few months he will have to return to Prague and stand trial.  Faced with continuing massive legal bills, LAMB OF GOD has decided to create an eBay auction of equipment and memorabilia to raise money for Randy’s legal bills. All equipment was either used on tour or in the recording studio or in a video.  The auction features items provided by all five members of LAMB OF GOD.

In addition, a number of musicians have offered equipment to be used in the auction.  Guitars have been donated by Machine Head’s Robb Flynn and Phil Demmel as well as Slash and Five Finger Death Punch. Megadeth’s David Ellefson and Five Finger Death Punch’s Chris Kael have each contributed a bass and the members of Five Finger Death Punch also have contributed a signed skateboard. 

Justice Now, the site set up for donations, will remain open for those wishing to donate to Randy’s defense fund.  The band appreciates all of the support Randy has received since his arrest on June 28^th and is thankful for all of the donations that have been made in these tough economic times.  As stated before, without the fans, there is no LAMB OF GOD.
