Injury Forces KYNG To Cancel Upcoming Tour Dates

Due to an unfortunate auto accident involving bass player Tony Castaneda, KYNG has to pull off their scheduled tour with ClutchOrange Goblin, and Lionize. The tour - scheduled to begin on Friday March 8th, would've taken them coast to coast through April 20th - will still move forward.
This unforeseen accident sets back the band's plans for recording their sophomore follow up to Trampled Sun with producer Jim Rota (Fireball Ministry, Sound City), and Andrew Alekel in Los Angeles this spring.
Though Castenada's injury puts the band's scheduled touring plans on hiatus, they will continue working on their new album with a planned release of Summer 2013.

KYNG Joins Megadeth On 20th Anniversary Tour

Southern California's KYNG will join Megadeth on their 4-week Countdown To Extinction 20th Anniversary Tour kicking off November 9 in Providence, RI. The dates comes on the heels of KYNG's current outing on the Triple Threat Tour with Seether and Sick Puppies and wraps up a busy year on the road for the trio that saw them hit the road with Danzig, Hell Yeah, Clutch, 10 Years, The Sword and more.

Their performance at Orionfest in June earned them a stamp of approval from Metallica frontman James Hetfield after discovering them through Sirius XM program director Jose Mangin, who has championed KYNG since hearing early demos a few years ago.

The band is touring in support of their new single "Bleed Easy," which is impacting now at Active Rock Radio. The song is already in rotation at Sirius XM's "Octane," WJJO-FM (Madison), WIIL-FM (Chicago), KHTQ-FM (Spokane), WBYR-FM (Fort Wayne) and WZBH-FM (Ocean City).

KYNG will be the featured guest on the nationally syndicated radio show ROCKLINE with host Bob Coburn on September 24 at 8:30pm PDT / 11:30pm EDT. Fans are encouraged to call to speak with members of the band toll free at 1-800-344-ROCK (7625). The show will be streamed on the Rockline website for two weeks beginning the afternoon after the live broadcast.

Their debut record Trampled Sun was released last fall on REALID Records (through Independent Label Group). The first single "Falling Down" saw heavy airplay at Sirius XM's "Octane" and "Liquid Metal" channels. SiriusXM was instrumental in bringing the band to what became their record label (REALID/Independent Label Group) and managers (In De Goot, who also represents Shinedown, Chevelle and others). KYNG's self-proclaimed "California Heavy" sound is a unique and universally appealing combination of heavy and captivating concepts, channeling influences from Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin to Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age.

KYNG is trio, Eddie Velix (guitar and vocals) Tony Castaneda (bassist and vocals), and Pepe Clarke Magaña (drummer).

10 Years Unveil Cover Art For New Album

With their new album Minus The Machine hitting stores July 31, Knoxville's 10 Years is excited to reveal the album's cover art in advance of the tour. You can check out the cover for Minus The Machine HERE.

The band will kick off the "Minus the Machine" headlining tour on June 27 in New Orleans, supported by Fair to Midland and KYNG. They're hitting over 20 cities nationwide including a date in their hometown of Knoxville, and a handful of festivals like Rockfest and Summerjam. They will be touring to support the release of the new album, and they're excited to play some new songs this time around. This year, the band is playing Rocklahoma, sharing the bill with artists like Rob Zombie, Chevelle, Slash, and Creed

After a solid and successful two years of Brian Vodinh touring as the band's guitarist, he is looking forward to returning to the drum kit. Brian announces, "even though I started the band with the intention of playing guitar, for some reason drums have been always been the heartbeat of my thought process for the songwriting.  After touring for more than two years with me playing guitar, we collectively decided that it felt like the heartbeat had just changed a little and it was time to pump that old blood back into the veins of 10 Years.  I will be returning to the drum kit with a renewed passion and drive and with the release of Minus the Machine, our fans are in for the most emotional and energetic album and live show they have ever seen from us." This tour is shaping up to be an experience that no 10 Years fan would want to miss.

Minus the Machine will be the band's fifth studio album, following their successful 2010 release Feeding The Wolves, which broke into the Billboard Top 200 list at #12. Billboard proclaims "10 Years hits a sweet spot between rock and metal" and Outburn declares the band "succeeds at making solid rock songs with subtle unique touches and nuances."
The band will release their new record on their own Palehorse Records in conjunction with Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group. The album marks the band's first release on their own label after a long tenure at Universal. 10 Years frontman Jesse Hasek explains the decision to release the album independently, saying "We wanted to create an album that has no boundaries." He continues, "When you feel like you're being told to go through motions and jump through hoops, it takes the heart out of it. It's better to do what comes naturally and then figure out the after-effect."
