Behemoth: New Music Video For "Lucifer" Now Live!

The music video for the track Lucifer off BEHEMOTH’s 2009 release Evangelion can now be seen HERE. Lucifer is the final track on Evangelion, clocks in at over eight minutes long, and is one of the most atmospheric and foreboding songs in BEHEMOTH’s vast catalogue. The video was shot in Wroclaw, Poland and stars the song's guest vocalist, Maciej Malenczuk.

Metallers can also check out the making-of video available HERE.

Back in print and newly repackaged, Demonica chronicles the earliest recordings of Polish blackened death metal legends BEHEMOTH! Demonica will include two booklets; a 28 page booklet and a 16 page booklet with rare photos and lyrics that were not included with the original release. Painstakingly compiled by the band, and in particular, front-man and founding member Nergal, who had this to say about compiling lyrics:

"Finding and collecting all the lyrics was a difficult task, demanding patience and time. With an aim of preserving the so-called historical authenticity, I have resolved to forward the lyrics in their original form, even though some of the language mistakes in them may obscure the overall meaning of the work…The fact that none of them has ever been published before, speaks of their exceptional collectors or even historical value…All the lyrics, despite their imperfections and just terrible English, depict me from the time of their creation. I still believe that it was a very straightforward and honest material, which had its mighty influence on who I am today."

An mp3 for the track Summoning of the Ancient Gods and preorders for the Demonica reissue can be found HERE.

Behemoth Releases "Lucifer" Making-Of Video

Behemoth and Grupa 13's latest creative vision will be for the song, Lucifer. The song is the final track on Evangelion and clocks in at over eight minutes long and is one of the most atmospheric and foreboding songs in Behemoth's vast catalogue. The video was shot in Wroclaw, Poland and stars the song's guest vocalist, Maciej Malenczuk. The video is currently being edited and will see a worldwide premiere in September. Behemoth set the bar high with their last video, which was also a Grupa 13 collaboration, Alas, Lord is Upon Me.

Behemoth front man, Nergal, comments: "It's crazy. The making of video is 10 minutes long and you watch it like it was 3 minutes… it's so intense and still, doesn't look like anything we've done before! "Lucifer" was a huge artistic challenge and I managed to create a VERY unique atmosphere. Watch and enjoy while waiting for the final result. The video's gonna fuckin' slay!"

The making-of video can be seen now HERE.

Nergal comments on his most recent acquittal: "I really had so much faith in judges. The verdict seems to be right. Intelligence and truth won over backward thinking and conservative attitudes; though I'm aware of the fact it's not over yet. The battle is won but the war is on…"

Behemoth Finishes Video For "Lucifer"

Behemoth and Grupa 13's latest creative vision will be for the song, Lucifer. The song is the final track on Evangelion and clocks in at over eight minutes long and is one of the most atmospheric and foreboding songs in Behemoth's vast catalogue. The video was shot in Wroclaw, Poland and stars the song's guest vocalist, Maciej Malenczuk. The video is currently being edited and will see a worldwide premiere in September. Behemoth set the bar high with their last video, which was also a Grupa 13 collaboration, Alas, Lord is Upon Me.

Behemoth front man, Nergal, comments: "We have teamed up with Grupa 13 again to shoot this amazing video…I must honestly say it was very refreshing cooperation. Darek is probably one of the most creative people I’ve met in this business and I love working with him. Every time we force ourselves to come up with even crazier ideas…This time we really made it very artistic and… still VERY disturbing. There's plenty of metaphors and symbolism in this video…the story is even more diverse, fucked up and out of control. I’m still digesting it… the video is being edited as we write these words…Stay tuned!"

Grupa 13's Dariusz Szermanowicz adds, "'Lucifer' is a song that completes the visual concept of the “Evangelion" album. The evolution of the script was long and stormy, but in the end it surprised us with lots of last minute changes and new energy in the ideas! This time we've shot it in a studio environment, with minimum set design. We've prepared over a dozen episodes and strong scenes filled with emotions. There's still more than a month of editing and post-production ahead of us. We wouldn't like to disclose the plot now; I can only say that this clip will be different from the previous ones. However, some elements, symbols and atmosphere continue the stories which have been told in the previous music videos."

More photos from the video shoot have been made available online and can be seen HERE.
