Chimaira Launch Indiegogo Campaign, New Album Details

 Metal titans CHIMAIRA announce a massive crowd funding campaign surrounding the release of their brand new LP, “Crown of Phantoms.”  The album will be released on Tuesday, July 30. 2013.

The band is seeking support for a special fan edition CD/DVD. This edition and its perks will only be available to campaign supporters and will not be sold anywhere else. Specifically, supporters will be contributing to the following:

•     Two narrative music videos
•     A behind the scenes, "Crown Of Phantoms" making-of documentary
•     Seven additional tracks exclusive to the fan edition
•     Various behind the scenes videos
•     Expanded version of "Dr. Z" with fan determined ending
•     Full length album commentary that features dialog from all the band members as they listen to the record start to finish
•     Graphic art storyboards created specifically for the music videos included in the fan edition booklet
•     Original Artwork & Packaging exclusive to the fan edition

To further conceptualize their plan, the band has released a video explaining, with some satire, the details of their campaign along with a sneak peek of a brand new track called "Kings of the Shadow World" and a visual display of the many creative perks they're offering to contributors. The Contortionist Launch Search For New Singer

 THE CONTORTIONIST have officially launched their search to replace frontman Jonathan Carpenter, who left the band last month. The band has uploaded two instrumental tracks here. They encourage applicants to complete a vocal demo of at least one, but preferably both songs (YouTube preferred) and send the link via email to thecontortionistsingersearch@gmail.com along with any other pertinent info.

Other criteria needed are:

    -Must be local to Indianapolis area or willing/able to travel/relocate.
    -Must be 18+ years old
    -Preferably able to play keyboards/synth in a live setting but not required.
    -Preferably has some previous tour, songwriting, and studio experience.
    -Must be free of any full time commitments (such as school or work) and ready to commit to the band FULL TIME starting June 1, 2013.

"We aren't just looking for someone that can show off their skills as a musician," says guitarist Cameron Maynard. "The band needs someone special that personally favors the traveling, and it should be in this person's best interest to truly enjoy performing and working creatively day in and day out."
