Enabler: Shift Of Redemption EP Out This Week

Milwaukee’s most volatile act, ENABLER, has locked down several new bouts of Spring tour dates in support of their brand new Shift Of Redemption EP, out this week via Think Fast! Records.

The brutalizing four-song EP picks up where last year’s brutalizing All Hail The Void LP on Southern Lord left off, flowing the hateful, impulsive and extremely infectious hook-and-breakdown-fueled frenzy ENABLER is so good at delivering. Stated founding frontman Jeff Lohrber on the construction and now the release of the new EP: "In the midst of the time where so much focus and energy was spent on the performance and production of AHTV, there were so many ideas floating around that I felt inspired to just keep writing, to just push the sound of ENABLER further than we had before. I think that this EP sums up the general feel of AHTV, but also is a glimpse of what is to come. I feel that every song has its own identity, and out of our entire catalog, it includes probably our hardest song to play live (‘Shift of Redemption’) in addition to two of my absolute favorites to play live (‘Live Low’ and ‘Sacrifice’). See you on the road, I can't fucking wait."

Recorded by Shane Hotchstetler at Howl Street Recordings, mixed by Chris Common (Pelican, These Arms Are Snakes), and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (From Ashes Rise, Sleep, High on Fire), Think Fast! this week releases the EP via digital download and 7” -- the first pressing limited to 1,000 copies, with 350 copies pressed on gold wax and 650 on clear -- available here.

Hear the full Shift Of Redemption EP right now via Invisible Oranges.

Fresh off of their ragingly successful first tour across the European plate alongside Rotten Sound and Martyrdöd last month, ENABLER has also locked down new North American tour dates with a week-long trek through the Midwest later this month, as well as another three-date Midwestern assault in mid-May.k These sessions include shows with Weekend Nachos, Early Graves, Rotten Sound, Dead in the Dirt and more, as well as a stop at the two-day D.I.Y. punk/hardcore gathering Forward Ohio Fest in late April with the likes of Wartorn, Raw Power, Masakari and more joining the skirmish.

Enabler Unleashes Hell With Premiere From New EP

Today Milwaukee’s annihilating metal/hardcore squad ENABLER releases the first single from their pending Shift Of Redemption EP, due out on April 9th via Think Fast! Records. The second of four tracks on Shift Of Redemption, “Live Low” portrays the explosiveness this act conveys in every respect, their body-ravaging hatred and a dispirited outlook on life delivered through swift and brutal hooks that infectious as Ebola.

Stated ENABLER’s founding guitarist/vocalist Jeff Lohrber on the creation of the song: "I'm sure I could find some way to doctor this up and make this song seem like more than it is, but I see no reason to fool anyone. I was pretty pissed off and I intended on writing ‘the ultimate fuck you song.’ This song is probably my favorite Enabler song to play live. I can apply the lyrics in this song to many people in my life and I'm sure you can too. Fuck you forever."

Clench your fists and pummel your enemies to “Live Low” now via MetalSucks.

Next week, ENABLER’s first European tour with Rotten Sound and Martyrdöd begins, with sixteen cities across the continent on the itinerary, beginning with a sendoff show in Dayton, Ohio on February 18th.

Following their Southern Lord released All Hail The Void LP, ENABLER’s upcoming Shift of Redemption EP features four brand new tracks from the Brew City killers, and showcases the band expanding their infectious sonic violence into new territory. Enabler: Milwaukee Quartet Confirms North American Fall Tour

Milwaukee-based wrecking crew ENABLER have just announced a new string of North American live assaults set to run from mid-October through the first week of November. With shows booked as part of the annual CMJ conference in New York City, this year’s installment of the massive Fest, Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas, the eleventh annual incarnation of The Fest in Gainesville, Florida and more, ENABLER will share the stage with the likes of Yakuza, Former Thieves, Converge, Kvelertak, Brutal Truth and a range of other potent acts along the way.

Following their brutal touring schedule over the first half of the year, having toured to SXSW and back across the country, and then having toasted the country on the massive Summer Southern Lord package tour alongside labelmates Burning Love, Martyrdöd, Black Breath and others, ENABLER took a bit of time to regroup. The new incarnation of this crushing riff engine contains founding guitarist/vocalist Jeff Lohrber (Today Is the Day, Trap Them, Harlots) and bassist Amanda Daniels, who now induct new drummer Dave Mann (Mouth of the Architect, ex-Rune) and new guitarist Eric Dunn (By Way of Sunstorm, ex Harlots), re-solidifying the outfit’s lineup and setting ENABLER up to wage war on false metal once again.

ENABLER’s energetic, hook-laden brutality stands as some of the most infectious metallic hardcore within the modern scene. The Wisconsin warriors have developed a devout fanbase over recent years through a plethora of indie and DIY releases and diehard touring. The band’s Southern Lord debut All Hail the Void surges with 35-minutes of the band’s most lethal material to date which has pillaged media outlets internationally since its release in July.

All Hail The Void can still be streamed in its entirety via Blow The Scene.

Enabler: Debut Southern Lord LP Streaming

As All Hail The Void -- the Southern Lord debut from Milwaukee-based metal/hardcore crossover outfit ENABLER -- nears North American release this Tuesday, July 17th, Blow The Scene is streaming in its entire album to satisfy your craving for scathing tunes. Go forth and kill AT THIS LOCATION.

ENABLER have just returned home after a month on the road as part of the massive Southern Lord package tour with labelmates Burning Love, Martyrdöd, Black Breath and more. The quartet's set throughout the tour pulled heavily from All Hail The Void, crushing audiences with their pulverizing new hymns. Check out several live videos of ENABLER and more RIGHT HERE.

Coalescing energetic and dynamic elements of hardcore, punk, crust and death metal into their own brutal brew, ENABLER have amassed a fanatical fanbase through last year's Year One CD, multiple EP's and split releases with Drainland, Ambassador Gun and Yautja and more over the last few years, not to mention the countless regional live shows, tours and festival appearances. Recorded and engineered by guitarist Greg Thomas, All Hail the Void surges with the most enraged talent from this destructive outfit to date, unwavering in its 35-minute rampage.

"With an infectiously potent concoction of crusty metal, punk, and dashes of hardcore, Milwaukee’s Enabler have just delivered one of 2012′s best albums." - Blow The Scene

"All Hail the Void is the kind of metal album where multiple traditions are honored all at once... it's an album where it all comes together so well that it's worth enjoying in its own right as much as it prompts a listener to think of everything that went into it." - All Music Guide

"...exactly the type of hardcore that I dig – fierce riffs and high energy mixing with well written hooks that shows the band actually has some writing skills rather than just being able to play fast and scream loud." - Popdose
