Defiler To Tour With Emmure & Born Of Osiris

Defiler will join Emmure on tour along with Born of Osiris and City in the Sea. The tour will kick off June 22nd in Knoxville, TN.  Defiler will be performing the first half of the tour (tour dates below).

In May, Defiler will be on the I Wanna See You Mosh Tour in Russia kicking off on May 10th in Kiev, Ukraine and wrapping up with a show with Parkway Drive on June 2nd in Minsk, Belarus. This is Defiler’s first time touring outside of the United States.

Defiler’s new studio album, Nematocera (Razor & Tie), is out now on iTunes HERE (http://glob.ly/2zG).  The band self-produced the record with mixing duties being handled by Chris “Zeuss” Harris (Suicide Silence, Chelsea Grin, The Acacia Strain).

Nematocera has received rave reviews with Metal Sucks stating, “It may be decades before a band can rival Defiler.”   Revolver Magazine has compared the band’s sound “akin to that of Suicide Silence and Chelsea Grin.  Jake Pelzl gives listeners remarkably deep growls with heavy lyrical content. But his band’s anger isn’t just in the words the group uses–it is in the musical foundation, with loads of chugs and breakdowns on Nematocera…. will certainly resonate with younger heavy-music fans.”

Matt Devries As Fill-In Bassist For Unearth

UNEARTH will begin 2013 in a big way on tour alongside WHITECHAPEL and EMMURE. The "Brothers of Brutality Tour" will begin on January 8th in Knoxville, TN and wraps up February 11th in New York, NY. Unfortunately, UNEARTH bassist John "Slo" Maggard will not be joining the band on the tour.

Vocalist Trevor Phipps has posted the following update:
"John "Slo" Maggard will unfortunately be sitting out the Brothers of Brutality Tour (Whitechapel, Emmure, Obey the Brave, The Plot In You) this coming January/February. His absence is simply to take care of personal matters at home and is only temporary. Slo will remain a member of Unearth moving forward and is actively involved in the writing process for our next album, which we plan to record and release some time in 2013.

"Luckily, our long time friend Matt DeVries (Fear Factory, ex-Chimaira) will be taking over bass duties for the tour."

"I couldn't be more excited to be filling in on bass for my long time friends in Unearth on the upcoming Brothers Of Brutality Tour," DeVries said about teaming up for the tour. "They are like family to me and I'm extremely happy to step up to the plate for my good buddy Slo!

"Slo will certainly be missed on this tour, but having DeVries on board is something we are all looking forward to. He's a true pro, a great performer and one of our closest friends in the business. Good times ahead!"

Whitechapel And Emmure Announce Co-Headlining Tour!

Whitechapel have announced that they will be embarking on a North American co-headlining tour with Emmure! The Brothers of Brutality Tour, presented by Revolver Magazine and Rockstar Energy Drink, will be one of the first tours of 2013. Dates, cities, and support acts will be announced shortly.

Guitarist Alex Wade comments on the collaboration: "We are really excited to announce our co-headlining tour with Emmure. We have been friends with them for quite some time now, and this is something we have always talked about doing, so it's awesome to see it finally come to light. Our first show ever was with Emmure in Nashville, TN before either of us were signed, so it's incredible to see how we have both grown so much in the music industry and are able to come together and put together this co-headlining tour!"

WHITECHAPEL recently premiered their new music video for "Possibilities of an Impossible Existence" off their current, self-titled release, via AltPress.com. The video, which was filmed by the Rockstar Media department with director Strati Hovartos while the band was out touring on 2012's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Fest, can be viewed now on the band's youtube channel, youtube.com/WhitechapelTV.

In other news WHITECHAPEL, who recently finished up a full US tour playing direct support to Hatebreed, will be re-releasing their full-length debut The Somatic Defilement via Metal Blade Records in the spring of 2013. Mark Lewis is set to re-mix and re-master The Somatic Defilement, which was originally released July 31, 2007 on Candlelight Records.

The band's latest effort, the self-titled album that dropped on June 19 in North America, debuted at #47 on the Top 200 Chart, #10 on the Top Independent Albums Chart, #3 on the Hard Music Albums Chart (Current), #2 on the Hard Music Albums Chart (Core Stores) and #64 on the Top Digital Album Chart.

Trespass America Launches Inaugural Tour

Introducing TRESPASS AMERICA, a newly minted music festival set on revitalizing the metal scene with some of the most current and credible bands in hard rock/metal. A co-production with Trespass America and Metal Hammer, the biggest metal magazine in the U.K., the tour kicks off July 13 at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado, and will cover 31 cities in two months between July and August across the United States. Ticket on-sales begin this Friday, April 27; log onto www.trespassamerica.com for complete details.

Opening the show will be newcomers BATTLECROSS, the most-played new band on the SiriusXM channel, "Liquid Metal." New Jersey monsters GOD FORBID, who just released a brand new album Equilibrium, will stir up the circle pits with new songs and hits spanning their long career. Deathcore masters EMMURE are coming out swinging in support of their new album, Slave to the Game. Michigan's POP EVIL will carry the torch of grassroots hard rock to the crowd, while the melodic guitar thrash of TRIVIUM and the reunited lineup of metalcore legends KILLSWITCH ENGAGE will bring a crushing intensity to Trespass America.

Headlining the power-packed Trespass America Festival is FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, the new heavy weight champs of the metal scene, with nine consecutive top ten radio hits, four Golden God awards, two certified Gold records (and a third in the making). Monstrous light shows and sold-out arenas have marked the path of 5FDP's meteoric rise. In a few short years, the band knocked down the tightly shut gates of mainstream media and turned the non-believers into believers as they marched to bring a message from the underground.

As Five Finger Death Punch's Zoltan Bathory, who helped spearhead the festival concept put it, "We will carry the flag into mainstream territory; we will trespass on their turf all across America. The combined power of Metal Hammer and all these bands enable us to make a statement, a really loud one. Heavy music wants its place back in the limelight, so get ready, because we are coming, and we are coming in numbers."

"By bringing the Trespass Festival to North America," said Metal Hammer's editor Alexander Milas, "we're not only promoting the music we believe in, we're investing in it. We're now doing in America what we've done for years in Europe and the UK." Indeed, Metal Hammer has a long history of flying the flag for the bands it believes in, and over the course of 25 years, has been involved with a number of events, most recently the Defenders Of The Faith tour that covered the spectrum of metal and helped support the music U.K. scene. Metal Hammer is partners with Bloodstock Open Air and Download Festival and has its very own Hammerfest festivals in the U.K. "It has become increasingly apparent to us that supporters of Metal Hammer stretch well beyond the U.K. Thanks to the iPad, American metal fans can now get the magazine at the same time U.K. fans do, but by taking on this tour, we're moving beyond our physical borders."

The idea for Trespass America came about as a way to bring heavy music to big venues across the country. Bathory explained, "When you walk through the Trespass America gate, you will be in a different territory, a new environment. You're not just coming to see a band. It's going to be a traveling circus that has all the attraction and excitement that creates an experience. We wanted to build the biggest stage we could and make this festival as visually unforgettable as possible, really give fans their money's worth, give them an experience where they will want to say, 'I was there.' We also wanted to play as many indoor venues as possible so all bands on the bill, no matter how early they play, would have a full light show with full production. We want to make Trespass America a theme-park-thrill-ride for metalheads."

With Five Finger Death Punch leading the charge, up-and-comers Battlecross, Pop Evil, and Emmure, metal vets God Forbid, and heavyweights like Trivium and Killswitch Engage, all united under the Metal Hammer banner, the Trespass America Festival is definitely bound to set foot on the forbidden lawn of mainstream Rock-Culture.
