Cannibal Corpse Announce Fall U.S. Headlining Tour

CANNIBAL CORPSE will be embarking on their first U.S. tour since dominating the stage as headliners of the Summer Slaughter Tour 2012. This headlining tour is scheduled to begin on November 16th and wrap up on December 7th. Dates and venues are listed below and can be found on the band's Facebook page HERE. Support will be provided by Misery Index and Hour of Penance. Tickets for the tour will be on sale beginning September 14th online and at your local venue's box office.

CANNIBAL CORPSE are touring in support of their critically lauded, impossibly brutal full-length, Torture, released through Metal Blade Records earlier this year. On the twelfth studio offering of their inspiring twenty-four year career, the Floridian quintet have never sounded so vital, the album building upon the wealth of powerful, dark, and memorable songs comprising 2006's Kill and 2009's Evisceration Plague and pointedly upping the ante at every turn. Valdur: Alpine Black/Death Occultists Issue Recording Update

Alpine black/death occultists VALDUR recently completed composing their upcoming, as-yet, untitled new full-length. Official recording sessions will commence on November 12th at Earhammer Studios. Additionally, VALDUR recently unleashed an ultra limited two-song EP entitled The Hammer Pit containing a rough version of two new songs. Taste the blood of track one, “Conjuring The Fire Plagues,” at the band’s Official BandCamp Page. When asked to talk about the upcoming new material, the band said in a collective statement: “We wish not to elaborate too much and allow the music that we will be putting out in the near future to do the talking."

Stratovarius To Unleash Under Flaming Winter Skies

The news of drummer Jörg Michael's departure from the Finnish melodic metal brigade STRATOVARIUS in September 2011 was a shock for all of the band's fans. To say goodbye to a friend, hero and member who characterized STRATOVARIUS' sound for over a decade, the group embarked on a five-show farewell tour of Finland in November of last year. Before returning with a brand new studio album in 2013, STRATOVARIUS will release a two-hour 2-CD/DVD set filmed and recorded in Tampere, Finland on November 19, 2011. This is one of the very last shows the band played with Michael.

Set for North American release on August 28, 2012 via Eagle Rock imprint Armoury Records, Under Flaming Winter Skies - Live In Tampere, which entered the Music DVD chart in Finland at position No. 1 upon its first week of release overseas, marks the end of an era as well as a new beginning. Xibalba: New LP Streaming; Tour Begins This Week

As Hasta La Muerte, the second LP from Southern Cali breakdown warriors XIBABLA, nears release, the North American street date now just one week away. In anticipation of the album's disbursement, and as the unit prepare to embark on tour in support of the mammoth LP later this week, today Brooklyn Vegan is streaming all of Hasta La Muerte. Test the durability of your office furniture by busting out a wicked statgedive in the workplace to the record's eleven devastating tales RIGHT HERE.

Taking their down-tuned assault to iniquitous new dimensions, XIBALBA's breakdowns hit with the force of tsunamis and their riffs like mires of quicksand on Hasta La Muerte, the band's intense style infusing some of the most doom-ridden tones one will experience within the hardcore genre with unstoppable force. Recorded by Taylor Young (of labelmates Nails), and sought out renowned death metal artist Dan Seagrave (Dismember, Entombed, Morbid Angel, Suffocation, etc.) to craft the foreboding cover art.

Hasta La Muerte will hit the streets via Southern Lord Records on August 14th in North America, just four days into their month-long North American tour with Alpha & Omega as well as labelmates Power Trip for most of the trek. The action begins at The Power Of The Riff West in Los Angeles this Saturday, August 11th and includes another performance at the first installment of The Power Of The Riff East in Brooklyn on September 1st.

Antigama Return To Selfmadegod Records

Warsaw, Poland's revolutionary grind/metal assassins ANTIGAMA announce their return to Selfmadegod Records!

Following two full-length releases via Relapse Records over recent years, ANTIGAMA have re-signed with their longtime friends at Selfmadegod and are currently locked away in Warsaw's Progresja Studio with sound engineer Pawel "Janos" Grabowski. The band are in the process of recording several brand new tracks for two different upcoming releases -- a 3-way split with Noisear (USA, Relapse) and  The Kill (Australia), as well as a MCD tentatively entitled Stop The Chaos. The session started on February 1st 2012, and final mixes and mastering duties will be completed by none other than the band's long time friend and famous Polish music producer Szymon Czech (Nyia, Third Degree).

Both releases are due this Spring via Selfmadegod Records, and plan on recording a new full-length for the label later in the year as well.

ANTIGAMA has gone through several lineup changes over recent years. Founding guitarist Sebastian Rokicki remains as always, joined once again by the band's original vocalist Lukasz Myszkowski. The lineup also includes new bassist Michal Zawadzki as well as new drummer Pawel Jaroszewicz (Lost Soul, Christ Agony, ex-Vader).
