Suffocation: John Gallagher Of Dying Fetus To Be Fill In Vocalist

New York death metal veterans, SUFFOCATION, have announced that John Gallagher of DYING FETUS will be filling in for a week of shows on their upcoming North American tour this April. Gallagher will be temporarily taking the place of vocalist Frank Mullen due to his other personal commitments. “I’m looking forward to seeing our amazing fans on the road,” commented Mullen. “John Gallagher from DYING FETUS will be filling in for a few shows that I can’t do and I'm sure he will do an awesome job. So please show your support for him and the band! See you soon.”

“I'm stoked to be performing on several shows with longtime friends and my brothers in metal, SUFFOCATION,” added Gallagher. “It's going to be a blast and since I'll JUST be singing the vocals, they are going to be super sick and guttural. That puts the band at #152 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and at #2 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) Chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

Pinnacle of Bedlam was produced by the band and tracked at Full Force Studios in New York by longtime collaborator Joe Cincotta. The mixing and mastering was handled this time around by world renowned producer/engineer Zeuss (HATEBREED, ARSIS, SUICIDE SILENCE). Pinnacle of Bedlam features 10 genre-defining-bone-crushing tracks and also marks the return of drummer Dave Culross, who played with the band previously on their Despise The Sun EP. Artwork was handled by artist Raymond Swanland (DEEDS OF FLESH, PSYCROPTIC).

SUFFOCATION were among the inductees for this year's class of the Long Island Music Hall Of Fame. The event was held on October 18, 2012 at The Paramount in Huntington, New York. Dying Fetus To Premiere New Video Next Week!

Death Metal powerhouse DYING FETUS have completed work on a new video for the song "Second Skin". The video will be exclusively premiered by Bloody Disgusting this coming Tuesday January 15^th. In the meantime, the band has released a trailer for the video, which can be viewed HERE.

DYING FETUS will be hitting the road in in January of 2013 alongside Hatebreed, Shadows Fall and The Contortionist as part of "The Divinity of Purpose Tour". The tour will kick off January 26^th in Flint, MI and will wrap up February 17^th in Amityville, NY.

DYING FETUS released their latest album Reign Supreme in 2011 on Relapse Records. The album is streaming in its entirety on their Bandcamp Page.

Dying Fetus Founder Guests On Louder Education Episode #4

Scottish death metallers CEREBRAL BORE have confirmed a US tour with DYING FETUS, which is scheduled to kick off in November and also features CATTLE DECAPITATION and MALIGNANCY.

CEREBRAL BORE are currently on the road in Europe with DYING FETUS, as well as JOB FOR A COWBOY and REVOCATION, and also toured the USA earlier this year with CANNIBAL CORPSE on the Summer Slaughter tour.
