Los Angeles, CA - Swords won't protect you. In fact, nothing will protect you from the onslaught HUNTRESS will unleash on North America beginning on April 21st. The metal band will join DragonForce for a thirty-show tour of the United States and Canada from April 21st to May 11th. Please see below for a list of tour dates.
HUNTRESS has signed a new management deal with Tenth Street Entertainment, joining the likes of Mötley Crüe, HELLYEAH, Drowning Pool, Papa Roach and others. The band is set to release their buzz-worthy debut album, Spell Eater on May 8th via Napalm Records and recently released the music video for the album's lead single "Eight of Swords." The video for the single, which is available on iTunes now (http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/eight-of-swords-single/id487242432), can be seen at http://youtu.be/Fo78chduJVA.
HUNTRESS was spawned from the unholy union of Jill Janus and the southern California metal band Professor. Janus began her reign as the leading lady and warrior princess of metal in the Catskill Hills of New York - where legends tell of the operatic banshee with a four-octave range. The Catskills were not enough to contain her, and in her teens she toured Europe as a young opera prodigy.
Upon her return to New York, Janus took Manhattan by storm where she became a part of the nihilistic club scene and hosted Filliniesque cabaret parties. A few years later she would make the journey to Los Angeles- where she would ultimately form HUNTRESS.
HUNTRESS is the blend of thundering drums, heavy riffs, spectral solos, and catchy choruses that comes from the band's musical concoction of occult science and archaic sorcery. The powerful pentad signed to Napalm Records in November 2011 and began working on their debut album Spell Eater - which was produce by Chris Rakeshaw (Bad Religion, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Danzig).
