Among the early breed of U.S. death metal pioneers, Autopsy formed in 1987 in the San Francisco Bay Area and released four albums on Peaceville Records. Beginning with the classic debut Severed Survival in 1989, the group disbanded in 1995 with members going on to form Abscess. Autopsy triumphantly and officially returned from the grave after a 15 year hiatus with the 2010 EP, 'The Tomb Within,' followed by the release of the band's widely acclaimed fifth studio album, Macabre Eternal in 2011.

Amon Amarth: Three-Part Mini Documentary Trailer Revealed

Today melodic death metal legion AMON AMARTH reveals a trailer for their forthcoming mini documentary which can be viewed at http://www.metalblade.com/amonamarth . Fittingly titled Forging Mjölnir, the short film will appear as a three-part series with each official segment slated to premiere via the band’s microsite at http://deceiver.amonamarth.com.

The Forging Mjölnir documentary comes in anticipation of AMON AMARTH’s ninth studio offering, Deceiver of the Gods. Recorded at Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, UK, and produced, mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap (Opeth, Megadeth, Exodus, Arch Enemy, Killswitch Engage), the follow-up to the band’s critically acclaimed 2011 Surtur Rising full-length delivers ten fiery battle hymns made of buzzsaw riffs and epic harmonies all driven by vocalist Johan Hegg’s commanding Viking roar and absorbing accounts of Norse crusades and treachery. Deceiver of the Gods comes adorned with another outstanding Tom Thiel-created cover portraying a mythical battle between the Norse Gods Loki and Thor. As an added bonus, Messiah Marcolin (Candlemass) makes an appearance as guest vocalist on eighth track, “Hel.”

Taking their experiences from Legion of the Damned, God Dethroned, Asphyx, and Inhume, Richard Ebisch (guitars, bass, vocals), Susan Gerl (guitars, vocals) and Roel Sanders (drums) decided it was time to release their combined sound on the world with a new band! Metal Blade is happy to announce their collaboration with this ripping new band! KILL DIVISION have finished the recording their debut album, Destructive Force!

Kamikabe: Bloodletting North America Tour 2013 Currently Underway

Pittsburgh technical death metal tyrants, KAMIKABE, are currently fracturing limbs and tearing ear drums on the Bloodletting North America Tour 2013 which commenced on May 3. Brought to fruition by Unique Leader, KAMIKABE are joined by headlining labelmates/French tech death metal masters, Gorod. Additional support is provided by Inanimate Existence (Unique Leader) and Vale of Pnath (Willowtip).

Comments the band: "We couldn't be any more stoked about this tour! An opportunity to shred with Gorod in the States is not something that happens too often. Melodic death metal pioneers DARK TRANQUILLITY will release their much-anticipated 10th studio album, Construct, on May 27th in Europe and on May 28th in North America via Century Media Records. In anticipation of this release, the band has now teamed up with Metal Hammer UK to launch the video for the new single "Uniformity". This video-clip was produced and directed by Revolver Film Company and Patric Ullaeus, who previously worked with IN FLAMES, HAMMERFALL and LACUNA COIL.
