As I Lay Dying: "Awakened" Vinyl Now Available For Pre-Order

The brand new album, AWAKENED, from San Diego, CA's devastating metal act AS I LAY DYING will be released on vinyl on November 19, with pre-orders live today at indiemerch.com/metalbladerecords. AWAKENED will be a gatefold release with coloured vinyl featuring a "half & half" split with half the album grey and the other half black (check out an example here).

AS I LAY DYING continued to chart worldwide with AWAKENED coming in at #58 on Billboard's Top 200, #24 on the Rock Albums chart, #11 on the Independent Albums chart, and #3 on the Hard Rock Albums chart while landing at #49 on Canada's Top 200 Current Album chart, #5 on the Hard Music chart, and #64 on the Top Digital albums chart in the album's second week. Grammy nominated San Diego metal act, AS I LAY DYING, have announced a tour with TRIVIUM this fall! Other bands on the bill include CALIBAN and UPON A BURNING BODY.

AS I LAY DYING are right now in the final stages of producing their new album with Bill Stevenson at the helm. Bill Stevenson has played drums for both the Descendents and Black Flag and is one of the most highly renowned producers in rock. His production credits include work on records by Rise Against, NOFX, Propagandhi, The Casualties, Anti-Flag and many more. The album is tentatively slated for release in the second half of 2012. As always, the band members are very active on twitter and bassist/vocalist Josh Gilbert has been posting images from the studio to chronicle the writing process. Follow Gilbert via the band's official twitter account @ASILAYDYINGBAND. Track titles, album art, new music, behind-the-scenes video, and more will be revealed as they are made available.

This album will serve as the official follow up to 2010's immensely successful The Powerless Rise, which debuted on the Billboard Top 200 at #10. The Powerless Rise also reached #2 on Billboard's Independent Albums Chart and #3 on Billboard's Hard Music Albums Chart. In Canada, the album debuted at #11 on the Top 200 Chart, #2 on the Indie Chart and #3 on the Hard Rock Chart. Additionally, the album reached the Top 40 in the following territories: Japan, UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Caliban Releases Music Video For Memorial

CALIBAN has released the music video for their first single, "Memorial".  With an eerie story line tying together images of a child and what seems to be the workings of a religious cult, "Memorial" is the first song to be revealed from the forthcoming album, I Am Nemesis .  Slated for a February 28, 2012 release via Century Media Records, guitarist Marc Görtz says, "The album breaks new soil without forgetting our roots.  There are new influences such as shimmering guitar melodies and technical grooves with Meshuggah-like heaviness."
