Aborym Releases Stills From Video Shoot For "Dirty"

Italo-Norwegian Hard-Industrial-Electro Extreme Metallers ABORYM have released a series of stills taken during the filming of the band’s new video for the title track of their upcoming album “Dirty”.  Directed by Alberto Falcone the video, which is currently being edited,  will feature all three band members as well as actors, and, according to frontman and founder Fabban, the title of the track pretty much sums up the subject matter of the video.  The photo stills from the video can be seen on the band’s Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/aborymofficial

Some stills are available below.

On May 14th the band will stream the entire first CD of the new album on-line.

Formed in 1992 by frontman Fabban, ABORYM started life as a covers band and went through several transformations, eventually pioneering what the band calls hard-industrial-electro  extreme metal.  Today’s line up consists of Italians Fabban on vocals, bass and Synths and Paolo Pieri (Hour Of Penance) on guitars, keyboards and programming, together with Norway’s Bard “Faust” Eithun (Blood Tsunami, Mongo Ninja, ex-Emperor) on drums.

The double album, “Dirty”, is the 6th full-length album ABORYM, and is set for release on Agonia Records on the 28th May in Europe and the 11th June in the USA/North America in digipak, jewel case and gatefold double LP formats.  The first CD will feature completely new material, whilst the second CD will include two completely re-arranged and re-recorded tracks from previous albums, covers of tracks by Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd and Nine Inch Nails, as well as a previously unreleased track which has been written by Alberto Penzin (CO2, ex Schizo) and is performed by both established musicians as well as several fans and spliced together from all the different sources.

More information about ABORYM can be found on the band’s website at www.aborym.it

Previously released tracks from "Dirty", album opener "Irreversible Crisis" and Iron Maiden cover "Hallowed Be Thy Name" can be streamed at: http://youtu.be/8f57gssYUK0 and http://youtu.be/1oSUZS-CnII

The band has also unveiled the second video teaser for"Dirty". It's streaming at: http://youtu.be/2Qn4gqZOJOc

*The first video teaser for dirty can be streamed here: http://youtu.be/BMCszHUnOdc
*The first revealed song from the new album can be stream here: http://youtu.be/8f57gssYUK0

ABORYM started life as a covers band and went through several transformations, eventually pioneering what the band calls hard-industrial-electro  extreme metal.

"Dirty"  was recorded at the Fear No One Studios in Italy with Emiliano Natali, reprising his Sound Engineers role from the band’s "Psychogrotesque" album, and it is helmed by Marc Urselli of New York’s Eastside Sound Studio who has worked with the likes of Mike Patton and Lou Reed. The electronic part of the album is engineered by D. Loop (Kebabtraume, Limbo). R.G. Narchost (Stormcrow, Demon's Shade, Drowning Ashes) created "The Spiral shaped chamber" custom sounds library for the band.  Artwork for the album is by ABORYM’s Fabban.

With "Dirty" being the band’s first release since 2010’s "Psychogrotesque", all three musicians have something to say about it:

Guitarist Paolo Pieri commented: "This is definitely the most schizoid and experimental ABORYM work so far. This time we focused on pushing the boundaries of electronic music one step forward while retaining the ruthless brutality of extreme metal in a way totally ahead of the times".

Drummer Bard “Faust” Eithun added: “This time around ABORYM push everything further; the electronic and industrial elements have never been so present. Rest assured, no matter how sick, twisted and beyond everything it sounds, it is still ABORYM.”

The last word falls to founder Fabban: “I believe that "Dirty" represents the best material ever written by ABORYM from 1992 until today.  Given that it wasn’t that easy to go beyond an album such as "Psychogrotesque", I strongly believe that this time we did exceed every limit and every concept of experimentation - manipulating all the clichès of extreme metal, industrial or electronic music and pushing together elements that are so far away from each other. As a result, we achieved something really innovative, powerful, refined and of a really high standard. The quality of sounds, the nuances, the details passing through the recording quality;  the quality of the machines that we used and abused, the quality of the lyrics, the artwork and the performances of each of us and of all the people who have worked with us, are definitely all at the top. "Dirty" is a record that simply expands the range of our listeners, it’s an album that everyone can enjoy and really appreciate. I am personally very excited and, at the same time, really proud of what you’ll soon be able to listen to. We worked so hard for the past two years on this double album that we have no words to really explain how excited we are to finally see it released. It’s an album that will further change the history of extreme music. Of that I have no doubt.”

The Moth Gatherer Streaming Full New Album

Unconventionally and emotionally sounding metal duo THE MOTH GATHERER have made their entire new album available for streaming prior to release date. The debut full-length entitled "A Bright Celestial Light" will hit the shops on CD and vinyl on the 16th of April worldwide via Agonia Records. It can now be listened to in full at the link below.

* above: cover of the vinyl edition. The CD cover comes with dark background and can be viewed here: www.agoniarecords.com/images/ARCD111.jpg

THE MOTH GATHERER
is recommended for fans of music in the vein of Neurosis, Pelican, Breach or Cult of Luna. "We just want our music to be an emotional explosion" - comments Alex, co-founder. "A lot of the songs is about death, missing people you loved who have passed away and losing hope in mankind. We want the music to make you feel like you can move mountains with it. I wish for that when people hear our recording, they start to dream away."

Due to the non-one-dimensional approach towards the created songs, the band's playing style is hard to label. While it's moving on the verge of the Experimental/Progressive metal etiquette, at the same time it introduces emotional and doomy compositions. The debut offers up long and complex tracks, but still surprisingly simple and compelling, with an abundance of tempo changes and variations. The end result basks in an emotionally charged recording, progressive, yet filled with utterly melodic slower-sections, addictive enough to stimulate the imagination. "Hypnotic, lusciously heavy and breathtaking" - Rock N Reel Reviews. "You really should not miss this one" - Cvlt Nation.

Tracklist:

1. The Water That We All Come To Need
2. Intervention
3. A Road of Gravel and Skulls
4. The Womb, The Woe, The Woman
5. A Falling Deity

The band is: Alex Stjernfeldt and Victor Wegeborn - who both handle: guitars, bass, electronics, vocals and drums.

Retail pre-orders for "A Bright Celestial Light" are being taken now at: https://www.agoniarecords.com/index.php?pos=shop&lang=en
