EXUMER announces show in Brooklyn, NY!

German thrash veterans, EXUMER, have confirmed a New York City show on September 21, 2013. The show will be the only U.S. appearance in 2013 for EXUMER and the band's second visit to the United States. Main support for the evening will be Florida death metal act MALEVELONT CREATION. The show will be at The Paper Box in Brooklyn, NY.

Vocalist Mem V. Stein comments: "We are beyond thrilled to be finally playing in NYC. We haven't played on North American soils since the THRASHO DE MAYO festival in L.A., four years ago. New York is close to mine and our bassist's hearts, since both of us live here and we have never brought the band to play in front our home crowd."

Shai Hulud Announces Shows With Earth Crisis, Early Graves + More!

After completing an extremely successful tour of Europe supporting Propagandhi, followed by a headlining tour, hardcore legends SHAI HULUD have returned to the states and are preparing for their next set of confirmed shows. In July, fans on the East Coast will be treated to a handful of shows featuring Earth Crisis as part of their Firestorm 20th Anniversary Tour. Additional support for the East Coast portion of the tour will be from Thy Will Be Done and White Widows. Additional SHAI HULUD shows have been confirmed for June, and July, including an appearance at Amnesia Rockfest in Montebello, Quebec. SHAI HULUD's Matt Fox reflects on 2013: "2013 has been a banner year for SHAI HULUD, and it's not even Summer yet. Seeing the release of Reach Beyond The Sun, touring Australia as a part of the Soundwave Festival (headlined by Metallica - pretty much the reason we play heavy music) and having just returned from Europe after a tour with one of our favorite bands, Propagandhi, has made this year thus far both a blur and a dream, or one and the same depending on how well you remember your dreams, if you can remember them at all. 2013 is one dream we won't soon forget, etched further into our memory receptors - if there are such things - with the dates we confirmed with Earth Crisis, a huge and direct influence on the formation and existence of SHAI HULUD. This is a special year for us, and we're grateful not only to share it with those who find something in our music that speaks to them, but also with so many of the bands whose music has spoken, and still speaks to us."

Graveyard To Support Soundgarden In Europe

Swedish rockers GRAVEYARD have been confirmed as the direct support act on the upcoming European run for Seattle’s grunge innovators SOUNDGARDEN this September. 

States the band:

"We've been pretty fucking fortunate with the bands we've had the honor to open for.  It's like taking a walk through our record collections or just through rock history.  When you list some of them, it comes off as pretty unreal – IRON MAIDEN, DEEP PURPLE and MOTÖRHEAD.  And now - SOUNDGARDEN!  Not so super unknown guys these days.

“We're super excited to head out on tour with them.  In a way, it's quite logical if you think about what the roots of their and our music are.  We certainly got one or two things in common there, so hopefully people will see it as good match making.

Sanctuary Signs Worldwide Deal With Century Media Records

Century Media Records is proud to announce the signing of the legendary Seattle metal band SANCTUARY. In 2010, four of the founding members, Warrel Dane, Jim Sheppard, Lenny Rutledge and Dave Budbill, came together for a few select reunion performances. At first, it was just going to be a handful of shows, but the response and chemistry on stage was so overwhelming that the guys changed their minds. Now, some 20 years after they left off, SANCTUARY will continue with their unique mix of US power metal, hard rock and progressive elements and begin work on a new LP. To complete the line-up, Brad Hull (FORCED ENTRY) will be filling in for former guitar player Sean Blosi. A late 2013 release is planned.

The band comments:

Warrel Dane: "Having been with Century Media since 1995 with NEVERMORE, it was a very comfortable decision for SANCTUARY to sign with them. Century Media has a great team that always delivers for all of their bands. I've known most of them on a first name basis for many years and I look forward to this new chapter in history."

Lenny Rutledge: "I can speak for every member of SANCTUARY when I say we are all excited to join the Century Media family. We now have the opportunity to work with the best metal record label on the planet. We are looking forward to creating great music with an awesome team behind us."

SANCTUARY released the classic albums Refuge Denied and Into The Mirror Black during their short existence between 1985 and 1992. Following the band's dissolve, singer Warrel Dane and bassist Jim Sheppard formed NEVERMORE.

Immolation On The Cover Of Decibel Magazine!

New York death metal legends IMMOLATION are on the cover of the latest issue of Decibel Magazine, which can be purchased here! In the issue, vocalist Ross Dolan discusses their new album Kingdom of Conspiracy and the Decibel Magazine Tour they’re a part of alongside CANNIBAL CORPSE and NAPALM DEATH, which is currently selling-out everywhere! An excerpt from the interview is as follows:

“We’ve known both bands for 25 years, pretty much,” says sweetheart Dolan. “We booked a show for NAPALM here at a place called Streets in Yonkers back in ‘89 and the night before they played CBGBs. It was their first time in the States. We met them when we took a trip over there, and I think I actually met Barney when he was still in BENEDICTION. The CANNIBAL guys we’ve known since about ‘88 or ‘89. We met them at a show at L’amour back in the day, exchanged demos and have been friends ever since. We’re so lucky because both of these bands are hands down two of the coolest bands to tour with. We went out with CANNIBAL when [vocalist] George [Fischer] first joined the band on the Vile tour. We’re real tight with all these guys. It’s great getting out there, but when you get out there with guys like these without egos and bullshit—just genuine guys who are into the music, out there to have a good time and not make anyone’s life miserable—that’s what it’s about to me.”
