This is a developing story. Please hit every hour for more details.
According to Blesk.cz, Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe (who was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter of a fan in the Czech Republic) is now on his way back to the U.S.A. The release came on bail of 8 million. The court decided to release on Thursday. It is now believed that Randy Blythe will avoid criminal prosecution. Randy Blythe flew to the U.S. immediately after his release. On Friday at one o'clock in the afternoon he is believed to have taken a direct line to New York and gave the Czech Republic goodbye.
The vocalist was thin and looked very tired (see photo above). He was of course still wearing the same clothes from a month ago when he was first arrested in the Czech Republic.
"With regard to the current issue order for immediate release from detention of the accused prison I can already tell that the complaint was dismissed and it was thus confirmed receipt of deposit of EUR 8 million and the release from custody," said Martin Blesk.cz Lhotáková of the Municipal Court in Prague (using Google Translate) .
Randy was acused of throwing a fan off stage at a concert in Prague two years ago by the name of Daniel N. Daniel soon died from injuries from that fall. The vocalist says that he does not remember anything.
Although LAMB OF GOD has cancelled their summer co-headline tour with Dethklok, the band has agreed to play the KNOTFEST shows on August 17th in Council Bluffs, Iowa and August 18th in Somerset, Wisconsin.
The band is currently targeting October 26th as the start date for a U.S tour. Dates and cities will be released as soon as possible. Randy will be making a public statement discussing his time in Prague and thanking fans worldwide for their support in the next week.
This story is still developing and we will have news on it throughout the day. Please keep checking back.
