Today Iwrestledabearonce premiered the video for their new song “You Know That Ain’t Them Dogs’ Real Voices” at www.ArtistDirect.com (http://www.artistdirect.com/entertainment-news/article/iwrestledabearonce-debut-music-video-for-you-know-that-ain-t-them-dogs-real-voices-on-artistdirect-com/9008273). The clip, directed by Scott Hansen, features the band performing at a backyard birthday party, with guest appearances by members of Winds Of Plague, In Fear And Faith, As Blood Runs Black and I Set My Friends On Fire. The scene turns to havoc when a drunken clown shows up as part of the entertainment.
In addition, the song--from the band’s forthcoming Ruining It For Everybody CD, out July 26 via Century Media Records--is now available for purchase through iTunes for 99 cents via this link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/you-know-that-aint-them-dogs/id445230807.
“Karate Nipples” and “Next Visible Delicious”--also from Ruining It For Everybody-- were released for advance sale on iTunes last month following massive fan response to the premieres of the songs on MetalSucks.net and IWABO's Facebook page.
Ruining It For Everybody is gaining early praise from the media.
Aaron Burgess of Alternative Press called Iwrestledabearonce “nomadic metalcore mixologists” and said they “thrust, parry and (mostly) piledrive their way through multiple genres.” He praised “vocalist Krysta Cameron’s range (from singing angelically to burping the alphabet in two seconds flat)” and “the band’s sheer chops (the fretboard pyrotechnics in ‘Button It Up’ cannot be denied). (August 2011)”
Elsewhere, Amy Sciarretto of AOL’s Noisecreep.com added, “'Next Visible Delicious'…will punch you in the face with its Nintendo-metal stylings. Thanks to IWABO's unpredictable, refuse-to-adhere-to-any-genre-or-go-down-easy metallic bluster and electronic wizardry, you will feel like you stepped into a video game and a carnival house of horrors all in the space of a single song. Singer Krysta Cameron shrieks like she needs to be institutionalized, but also offers up an angelic, pretty vocal. She is not to be trusted; she will cozy up to you, only to boot you in the balls without any warning! That's why we love her! (June 17, 2011)”
Look for Iwrestledabearonce--Krysta Cameron (vocals), Steven Bradley (guitar, keyboard, programming, samples), John Ganey (guitar, keyboard, programming, samples), Mike "Rickshaw" Martin (bass) and Mikey Montgomery (drums)--on the road in North America starting July 21. They’ll join Emmure, Alesana, Born Of Osiris, and Bless The Fall on The All Stars Tour through August 28. Following The All Stars Tour, the band will head north for two shows in Alaska.
